Dadlani Claimed He Talked To Vimalananda
On the Istagosthi.org forum (which is no longer online) Dadlani participated in a discussion in which he revealed some starling information about talking with, and receiving instruction from, Aghori Vimalananda. The following posts were taken from this discussion:
This idea of sexual sadhana combined with visualization of yourself and your partner as divine figures is actually a form of Tantrism. Aghora especially deals with this point. When I was receiving my Aghora training, I was taught to visualise myself as Shiva and my partner as Shakti, and thus our "union" was in fact divine.
I find the 'Radha-Krishna' union is very bad taste for obvious reasons, as the whole process is not bona fide. These tantric ideas must have creeped into Gaudiya sects over the course of time, since both Gaudiya Vaishnavism and Tantra (especially Aghora) originated in Bengal. No wonder that tantraloons like Satyaraj walk around spouting off about the 'tantric' side to Gaudiya Vaishnavism. I don't blame them, with cultloons like ABD walking along too!
40 years? BIG DEAL! I knew sadhus in India who have lived to be over 300 years old. This ABD guy is a BABY!
I also don't see the need to drop my seed except when absolutely necessary, though I haven't been doing it for 40 years. So what? It requires great physical control and especially mental control so as not to dissipate your ojas, NOT screwing around! These wacky sahajiyas, they take 'favourable' elements of Tantrika philosophy, incorporate it with Gaudiya theology and make a big deal out of not ejaculating for 40 years! Sheesh! Why don't they just drop their pretensions and just admit that they ONLY WANT SEX!
The simple fact that he follows Tantrik philosophies and rituals yet know virtually nothing about Aghora only shows what a baby ABD is.
I am actually interested in conserving my semen, and especially my store of ojas. The benefit of my past training in various Tantrika schools and other philosophies (including Kundalini Yoga) has taught me that the conservation of semen is a most important thing.
It is actually an art. If you conserve your semen PROPERLY, you can live to be thousands of years old. That is, if you want to. Personally I don't want the hassle, I have better things to work for.
Sheesh, now I'm starting to sound like Vimalananda..
Their spurious claims of "milana" are actually based on Tantrika practices. The Gaudiya Vaishnava and the Tantrika philosophies both originated in Bengal, and Tanra is older. This is evidenced by the way that Tantrikas used to harass Sri Caitanya and His devotees in various ways.
Somewhere along the line, some guy got jealous about how much sex these Tantrikas were having, and he figured out a way to concoct a doctrine that amalgamated the two philosophies that are mutually exclusive.
'Holding your seed' is a Tantrika practice that is reserved for advanced sadhakas. It takes years of practice. This ABD guy says he has been doing it for 40 years, how do we know? But anyway, it is not a big deal as anyone can do it. I sincerely doubt that he has a good stock of ojas though. He doesn't know what he's doing, to think of himself as Krishna and his illegal lovers as Radha is a blasphemy of the highest sort. It is also not an authentic practice, even if the visualisation is based on Shiva-Shakti like I used to practice. It is still blasphemy. Srila Prabhupada ws right, first drink an ocean of poison and then claim to be like Shiva
I no longer observe these Tantrika practices myself. There is no point.
Physical brahmacharya may be good, however, mental brahmacharya is the key. Even thinking of sex with women will cause the penis to drip something that is known in lay terms as "pre-cum."
This pre-cum is actually the revered ojas that is in fact a liquid form of your own life-force.
The real key to sadhana is to not think of women at all, let alone sex. This makes me wonder about the incident between Lord Caitanya and Junior Haridas. What exactly did Junior Haridas do? Look at a woman? Obviously this is a very deep topic, but it is plainly obvious that celibacy brings very great benefits if you know all the tricks of the trades. Otherwise what is the point of performing so many austerities without knowing how to get the benefit.
Then someone may say that we are performing these austerities as an expression of selfless love for Krishna's pleasure. Wonderful. But how will you please Krishna unless you know what you are doing? Are you an attentive servitor or an inattentive servitor.
My experiences with Aghora sometimes left me in deep doodoo. I reflected deeply upon the subject today itself, and I came to the conclusion that I had stupidly fallen for the most common of all spiritual traps; DON'T USE THESE THIGNS FOR YOUR OWN GRATIFICATION!
What was my motivation to learn Aghora? At the time I had met Vimalananda who was a very great Aghori (it will be 10,000 years before someone like him is born again, thats how great he is) who convinced me that Maa was the supreme object of devotion. I was not a Vaishnava then, I was a Shaiva so I didn't really have any problems with this philosophy since worship of Shiva automatically includes his wife as well. So anyway I learnt all of these sexual tricks ansd may other Ahori rites of passage that are in fact extremely valuable to the spiritual aspirant who can be follwing ANY spiritual path. There are certain principles that are the common basis of all religions and spiritual paths, and I learnt these. Was I interested in Aghora to reach Maa, or wa smy devotion false and did I just want a quick lay in the guise of spirituality? Reflectively, it was obviously the latter in not so many words.
After having mastered some of these procedures, though incompletely, I screwed up some important biological processes of my body. Nothing serious, as I was still able to become erect and ejaculate, but I didn't seem to last quite as long as I did before. The most advanced Aghoris can remain erect for a duration of 3-9 hours with no problems. Since I was only a student (with incomlete training) I could last max 30-40 minutes. After I left my Aghora training and became a Vaishnava, I noted that some of my sexual and magical skills decreased a little, with the result that I became seriously depressed about the likelihood of becoming impotent earlier than expected. I have spent all this time thinking, "Oh krap, what the fuck have I done?" and thoughts like that. However as of the last couple of months or so, I am pleased to report that my sexual capacity and other physiological functions have come back up to the necessary level to leading a fulfilled healthy life.
Why am I revealing all of this? LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES! Don't screw up your body with krap like Kundalini Yoga, pranayama, sabda yoga, and all of that. These things cannot help us. Srila Prabhupada and the scriptures are correct, the only GENUINE way is to chant the Holy Name and it will do EVERYTHING. Vaishnavism is correct, it will teach your everything. I have been everywhere and done everything and this is my opinion; Vaishnavism is where it's at.
I'll tell you a story, though. Vimalananda was the one who knew about it, and he even knew the original Gayatri too, the powerful one. There was this disciple of his who pestered him for it and Vimalananda was reluctant to impart the mantra to him. Ultimately he relented, and gave this man only TWO syllables of the powerful Gayatri to chant, primarily meant for decreasing his physical lust. Vimalananda also instructed him to chant it only a certain number of times a day (I think 32) with the required accompanying yogic sadhana. So this guy carried out the sadhana faithfully, until around two days before the mantra (of only two given syllables) would have taken effect. He was afflicted with lust and was very keen on going home to have sex with his wife. Vimalananda repeatedly told him not to do so, knowing that what he was experiencing were the last throes of physical lust, but this guy thought he was too smart. So off he went home, had sex with his wife twice that night and fell asleep. In the morning he became a raving lunatic, babbling incoherently and spending 23 hours with his head underneath a cold tap. A day later he died. I know this because I was there when Vimalananda told him not to go home, and I heard from the wife what happened afterwards.
Yes, you can keep playing with your untruthful animations like the sad bloke you are and peddle your lies. While the fact remains that you are a pervert, a hypocrite, and a liar. As well as HUMONGOUSLY childish!
That's very true. All genuine gurus who claim to be representative of the Agora, tantra and Kundalini Yoga traditions are extremely insistent on this point. If these processes are carried out without the guidance of a qualified guru, the aspirant risks severe physical disability, mental disability, sickness, psychosis, even death. Anything bad can happen. So it is extremely advisable to maintain caution. The problem is basically finding a genuine guru.
I once heard of Sri Siddheswar Baba of Risshikesh. He had raised his Kundalini-sakti by himself and without guidance and suffered greatly as a result, his book is simply torturous to read. The same goes for Pandit Gopi Krishna, another noted Kundalini teacher. The thing with Siddeswar is that he eventually managed to raise his Kundalini safely by last-minute guidance and divine grace, and claimed to be fully enlightened. What was more surprising however, is that he claimed to be able to RAISE OTHER PEOPLE'S KUNDALINIS at least up to the level of the Ajna Chakra, and the aspirant would have to raise it further to the Sahasrara by himself.
I was offered by a friend to go visit him and get my Kundalini raised, but I refused because I know exactly how dangerous the process can be as I have even seen it with my own eyes.
What is Karuna Bhavan? Is that the temple in Scotland you are referring to? Oh yes, I don't do all of those Tantrika rituals anymore, I stopped all of them when I became a Vaishnava. However, as I said earlier, there are certain things that are common to all religions and faiths. Semen retention is actually the active principle behind the brahmacarya-asrama." Interesting Developments Click Here to read a comment that Evakurvan wrote to Dadlani about Vimalananda (this post also has Dadlani's subsequent response). Evakurvan said, "I do not want to turn this into a battle of credentials but i dont want interested onlookers to be misled, or get confused because of you coming in here to confuse and mix this topic up with your uninformed commentary. You are the same guy from istagosthi.org with the nic name 'dark knight.' I've been reading that board for ages without ever posting. On that board you are pretending that you were the disciple of this tantra guru Vimalananda and acting like he gave you 'secret tantra instructions,' meanwhile he died in 1983 when you were still only 5 years old. You then went on to invent elaborate stories regarding your supposed meetings with him. I don't know what satisfaction you get from going around pretending all sorts of things on forums. Your response to being exposed in istagosthi was to just dissapear from the forum. Here is the relevant url. I think this is relevant information, considering the fact that you are posting here now making similar grandiose claims about your studies in advaita. Considering your credibility, and also the kind of responses you give to my posts, i am sorry to say i doubt you. I also feel you are here to agitate me without giving much thought to what i am typing."
The relevant section to Dadlani's reply was, "Now, was I ever a disciple of Vimalananda? No. I met him on a few occasions and attended some of the informal lectures he used to hold in his house. This was a few months before he died. When I asked him about the possibilitiy of becoming his disciple [this was before I came to GV], he refused and said that his teachings would be published in some books, and that I should read those books. So did I receive some "secret tantra instructions" from him? No. I got it from his books, just like anyone can, as well as picking up some tips from his more senior disciples. As for the date of his death and my age at the time, this is pure nonsense. Anyone who has even a single clue about Vimalananda knows how enigmatic he was. He deliberately avoided certain situations just so he could avoid creating new karmic connections, which he felt were an obstacle towards his own deliverance. The date of his death was deliberately changed (read, put back to an earlier date) just so anyone who tried to seek out any records of him and his family could not do so. After his death, people have tried to seek his family out but they have moved away. To suggest that he died in 1983 and I was 5 years old, do you really think I am so stupid to talk about an episode of my life and open myself to criticism?"
A person using the name Dork Knight also wrote a response to Dadlani: Reference. The primary quotes that Dork Knight critiqued (from Dadlani's posts) were the following: "To answer your question, yes I was fortunate to meet Vimalananda in person...I met Vimalananda before I came to practice Vaishnavism...To be honest, I cannot remember every single detail of my meetings with him since it was quite some time ago, but one particular instruction he gave me was that he intended Svoboda (even then) to write about his own experiences regarding Vimalananda, and that I should read those books. So really, a few personal secret instructions about tantra-sadhana coupled with the knowledge found in the Aghora trilogy is what I know of Vimalananda's 'philosophy'." |
Startling Discrepancies Arise Consequently, Dadlani claimed: 1) That he met Aghori Vimalananda; 2) That he received secret instructions from Vimalananda about tantra sadhana; 3) That Vimalananda intended for Svoboda to write about his experiences, and that Dadlani should read those books when they came out (meaning that no books had yet been published).
Dadlani was born September 16th 1978. Vimalananda died in 1983 (meaning that Dadlani was 5 years old at that time). Robert Svoboda (the actual disciple of "Vimalananda" who wrote the books about him) said: "One of his fiercest lessons to me was his dying in my arms on December 12, 1983. That heartbreak was itself a reprise of his first lesson, delivered within the first days of our friendship more than eight years before, when he had predicted that I would cremate him" (Ref. 03).
Svoboda's first book, Aghora: At the left hand of God, was first published in 1986. Since Dadlani clearly said that he was with Vimalananda prior to Svoboda publishing his books (Vimalananda allegedly told Dadlani to wait for these books to come out), Dadlani was younger than 7 years old when he allegedly met Vimalananda! Svoboda only wrote about Vimalananda after he died. Even if Dadlani is correct about Vimalananda's date of death being changed, the date could not have been changed by much (as Svoboda published his first book in 1986). Of course, it would have taken at least (conservatively) one year to write this book. Consequently, Vimalananda would have died, at the latest, in 1985 (making Sanjay a spunky 7 years old tot).
So how did Dadlani, as a 7 year old child receive "secret instructions about tantra-sadhana" from Vimalananda, learn "sexual tricks" and why was he trying to make his penis stay erect for 30-40 minutes max, at that tender age? Also, why (as a 7 year old child) would he be having sex, visualizing himself as Shiva and his partner as Shakti if his desire was basically for a "quick lay in the guise of spirituality"?
As if this isn't confusing enough, on the Gaudiya Discussions site, Dadlani claimed: "1998 - While with this pseudo-guru, I had undertaken an orthodox study of AdvaitavAda philosophy as well as being taught Vama-marga Aghora by Vimalananda for a brief while" (Refs: 01 - 02). How was Dadlani being taught Vama-marga by Vimalananda in 1998, when he passed away prior to 1985?
Another strange contradiction is when Dadlani said, " So did I receive some 'secret tantra instructions' from him? No. I got it from his books, just like anyone can, as well as picking up some tips from his more senior disciples." Later, Dadlani said, "...but one particular instruction he gave me was that he intended Svoboda (even then) to write about his own experiences regarding Vimalananda, and that I should read those books. So really, a few personal secret instructions about tantra-sadhana coupled with the knowledge found in the Aghora trilogy is what I know of Vimalananda's 'philosophy'." Did Dadlani receive "secret instructions" from Vimalananda or not?
Dadlani also made unbelievable claims to knowing "sadhus in India who lived to be over 300 years old". What are their names and when did he meet them? Dadlani also said, "if you conserve your semen properly, you can live to be thousands of years old"! These type of statements sound like they come from someone who is totally brainwashed. Dadlani's disturbing claims, when combined with his other equally outrageous assertions and online behavior, give the impresssion that Dadlani has a serious propensity to lie and exaggerate. |
