Sanjay Dadlani: Lies, Attacks and More

The Gaudiya Vaishnava: Sanjay Kishore Dadlani:

First of all, Sanjay Kishore Dadlani (Gaurasundara das dasanu-das) associates himself with the Hare Krsna movement known as ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness). Sanjay Dadlani's spiritual name (Gaurasundaradas) refers to Lord Chaitanya, who was considered the Golden Avatara of Sri Krsna.

A well respected Hare Krsna and major contributor to ISKCON, Chandra Chatterjee, said the following about Vaishnavas (which Sanjay Dadlani professes to be), "A Vaishnava, according to Sri Chaitanya, must possess the qualities of compassion, love, forbearance, generosity, truthfulness, freedom from all worldly attachment and a complete control over the senses. He must be free from all kinds of impurities, such as, passion, desire, hatred and lust; he is also expected to remain calm and balanced under all circumstances of life. Vices like greed, anger and jealousy are enemies to a devout life. The Srimad Bhagavatam depicts such a virtuous devotee as a sadhu or one of the highest character. According to the Srimad Bhagavatam: titiksava karunika suhrida sarva-dehinam ajata-satrava santa sadhva sadhu-bhusanah: He who is tolerant, compassionate, a friend of all and enemy of none; he remains engrossed in the thought of Krishna and remains verily a man of highest character, a sadhu (Srimad Bhagavatam, 3.25.21) and trinad api sunicena, taror api sahishnuna amanina manadena, kirtaniya sada hari: A Vaishnava in his daily life should be humbler than even a blade of grass. Without having pride in himself, he should honour others. He must be tolerant like a tree which does not beg water even if it dries up. He should live a very simple life and must recite the name of Hari at all moments. (Caitanya Cariamrita Adi 17.31)

I feel that I am mature and reflective enough to recognise he fact that, somehow or other along my journey, I must have committed grave aparadhas to esteemed Vaishnavas, and that the recent troubles I faced were the effect of such offences. I experienced a degradation of my bhakti-lata due to such offences, and was allergic to the Holy Name and all things spiritual. The only thing that kept me going was my daily puja to my dear sweet Gaura-Nitai deities. In Madhurya-kadambini it is related that when the intense effects of aparadhas lessens slightly after a long period of suffering, the taste for bhakti appears again. I feel that this has happened to me and I feel fortunate for it; my approach know is to worship the golden Lotus Feet of Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundara, the most-merciful avatars, and this will help me to tread the path more carefully. And so again I humbly take up the practice of bhakti, and I eagerly search for the shelter of Sri Guru." Spoken like a true Vaishnava and devotee of Lord Chaitanya! However, profiles can be deceiving. Despite the teaching of Lord Chaitanya about the qualities of a devotee, Sanjay's articles and posts, on various sites, show that Sanjay has two online personalities: One - his "devotee" personality, marked by reverence, kind speech, inquiry, humility and devotion; and Two - his "non-devotee" personality, marked by vile, filthy and invective-ridden speech, critical nit-picking, lies and hatred. This article is to expose the "other side" of Sanjay Dadlani.

Dadlani, Sanjay And The Abrupt Turn:

Sanjay was a devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, of Puttaparthi India, for 11 years. On Sanjay's profile at Gaudiya Discussions, Sanjay said he left Sathya Sai Baba (SSB) in 2001, a couple of years after sexual abuse allegations surfaced against SSB (Sanjay makes no mention of leaving SSB due to sexual abuse allegations). Sanjay implied that the primary reason he left SSB (after having a "mini break down") was due to a formal rejection of Advaita (non-duality philosophy preached by SSB) and the acceptance of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, as preached by Srila Prabhupada (founder of ISKCON). After this acceptance of Gaudiya Vaishnavism as being "topmost", Sanjay said he "rejected the pseudo-guru (SSB) in July 2001". Almost immediately, Sanjay Dadlani began his Anti-SSB crusade by posting numerous slurs against SSB in discussion groups. Sanjay K. Dadlani became increasing active in the Anti-SSB movement and despite his newfound devotion to Gaudiya Vaishnavism, Sanjay's online behavior took an abrupt turn down a gutter of hate and vicious attacks.

Sanjay And His Non-Devotee Personality:

Sanjay soon began forming (and contributing to) Yahoo Groups against Sathya Sai Baba. Needless to say, there were some who took issue with Mr. Dadlani's positions and his responses were, to say the least, hateful, negative and full of vile invectives of the worst kind. Surely not words befitting someone claiming to be a Vaishnava and devotee to Lord Sri Krsna! Although Sanjay is perfectly entitled to express himself as he chooses, it is important for the general public get a better idea on how the self-professed Krishna Devotee chooses to express his aggression against those who question him and his Anti-Sai agenda.

This brings me to SathyaSaiBaba2 Yahoo Forum. Sanjay Dadlani has used 3 primary names on this Yahoo Forum: "dark_knight_9", "saiexposed420", "gaurasundara_108" and "donmakaveli22". Many of Sanjay's hate-posts were made against Lisa DeWitt (a woman using the online name of "conscientiousobjector" or "Lisa"). Lisa's very first post, on this forum, was made on November 23rd 2002 (#26463). Lisa began debating various people after she posted an article from the New York Times, A Friend in India to All the World, and Anti-SSB Activists took issue with her about this article. Lisa posted this article on December 3rd, 2002 (#26498). Sanjay has said that the reason why he used harsh speech was because Lisa DeWitt started it. This is simply untrue. Sanjay had an established record of maligning and speaking condescendingly to people before he began debating Lisa! Sanjay's first post, directed to Lisa, occured on December 30th 2002 (#26830). Here are some of Sanjay's Posts prior to December 30th, 2002 that not only shows his profound hate for Sathya Sai Baba, but also shows what a potty-mouth he has (Please Be Advised: Graphic Language): 01; 02; 03; 04; 05. Sanjay, even today, still uses these filthy words to express himself. Here are some examples (Please Be Advised: Graphic Language: Also, Look At The Titles Given To The Articles): 01; 02; 03; 04; 05; 06; 07; 08; 09; 10; 11; 12; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; 18. Hare Krsna! Hare Rama!

I would like to take a moment to clarify the relationship between Lisa DeWitt and myself (since Sanjay and others keep linking us together). I do not approve or condone the language or tone used by either Sanjay K. D. or Lisa DeWitt in the Yahoo Forum. Although Lisa DeWitt has provided me with links to invaluable resources, with objective information, we have a clear understanding where each of us is coming from. Lisa DeWitt is a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba and I am not. Consequently, I do not agree with all of her arguments or reasons used to defend Sathya Sai Baba. I have found, over a period of time, that many of her arguments, against Anti-SSB Activists, do in fact have substance to them. I do not approve or condone the way Lisa DeWitt chooses to label some of these Anti-SSB Activists, however, since she was ganged-up upon by Anti-SSB Activists (which they often do with others as well), her responses simply mirrored those who attacked her first.

The fact remains that Lisa DeWitt, as a Sathya Sai Baba devotee, could have chosen the "high road" and refused to engage Anti-SSB Activists on this forum. She chose not to do so. Similary, Dadlani, as a Hare Krsna and Sri Chaitanya devotee, could have also chosen the "high road" and refused to engage Pro-SSB Activists on this forum. He has similarly chosen not to do so. Consequently, both Sanjay and Lisa are fully responsible for their own words.

Dadlani: Obsessive Nitpicking And Strange Beliefs:

Sanjay has written several critical articles against Sathya Sai Baba about comments made by him in discourses. Despite the fact that Sanjay has openly complained about the heavy editing and omissions in SSB's discourses, from 1994 (see Sanjay's article on ExBaba.com entitled Memories of a still thinking, not quite brainwashed, ex-devotee), Sanjay attributes factual errors directly to SSB by using these very same heavily edited discourses! Sanjay Kishore also takes issue with many of SSB's claims and continually derides SSB. However, Sanjay has no problem with his own Guru, Srila Prabhupada, who has made completely unscientific claims and whose views Sanjay has never dissented with. For example, Srila Prabupada said, in his book Life Comes From Life: "There are many invisible planets and stars. For example, when the Rahu planet passes before the sun and moon, there is an eclipse. But the scientists describe an eclipse differently. Actually, the Rahu planet causes an eclipse. There are many questionable points regarding the modern scientists' theory of the eclipse. Their explanation is incorrect according to Vedic information." Srila Prabhupada also said, in this same book, "If you drop a needle, it will fall immediately, but a bird weighing several pounds can float in the air. We must establish the origin of this floating. If we study nature, we find that every living entity has some mystic power." Of course, birds do not "float". Tie their wings and they will fall to the ground like any other object. Even more disturbing is Prabhupada's description of the stars and sun. Prabhupada said, "Among all the luminaries twinkling in the sky, the sun is the chief, and in the Brahma-samhita the sun is accepted as the glowing eye of the Supreme Lord. There are fifty varieties of wind blowing in space...Among the stars, the moon is the most prominent at night, and thus the moon represents Krishna. It appears from this verse that the moon is one of the stars; therefore the stars that twinkle in the sky also reflect the light of the sun. The theory that there are many suns within the universe is not accepted by Vedic literature. The sun is one, and as by the reflection of the sun the moon illuminates, so also do the stars. Since Bhagavad-gita indicates herein that the moon is one of the stars, the twinkling stars are not suns but are similar to the moon." (BG: 10-20). However, you do not see Sanjay criticizing Srila Prabhupada! As a matter of fact, Sanjay openly praises and defends Srila Prabhupada.

Mr. Dadlani accepts the Srimad Bhagavatam as scripture. The Srimad Bhagavatam is the very same source that states that the Sun is closer to the Earth than the Moon! Click Here to read an article from the Hare Krsna's that states that the moon is 1,600,000 miles further into space than the Sun (Srimad Bhagavatam: 5:22:7-17)! Many Hare Krsna's have tried to reconcile the numbers describing the numbers in terms of "regions", however, no matter how you calculate it, the sun simply cannot be closer to the Earth than the Moon! The Moon is approximately 218,000 miles from the Earth. Consequently, the "primary spiritual account" that Sanjay sites, has major inaccuracies itself! It is also important to point out that the Srimad Bhagavatam considers women inferior to men, states that thunder and lightning come from the god Indra, there are planets that have different types of oceans, one planet having an ocean of milk (where did the milk come from?) and that the demon Rahu is the cause of eclipses for both the Sun and Moon. Sanjay will defend his scriptures to no end, but sees faults and failing in SSB's words! This is not only equivocal, it is hypocritical.

Click Here to view how Sanjay believes that the Kundalini practice known as "urdhvaretas" allows one to "transport semen from the testicles to the cerebral area"! To support this belief, Sanjay sites several articles written about Tantra and Kundalini. Does Sanjay really believe that semen can flow from the testicles to the cerebral area? Why doesn't he site a scientific study or any anatomy resource that shows some sort of canal through which this could happen. Despite this amusing belief in semen being transported to the brain from the testicles, Sanjay attacks others for their belief in SSB!

Click Here view Sanjay's comments about teen porn in which he said, "We need to establish if this was actually child porn, or porn that is advertised as belonging to the "teen" category. Teen porn is relatively legal and there is no problem with it. Child porn is illegal, yes." Of course, this is a blatant lie. Teen porn, under no cirucumstance is "relatively legal". Any porn of people under the age of 18 is illegal! Funny that Sanjay Dadlani would take the position that teen porn is "relatively legal", implying that teenage consent is legitimate, yet at the same time, say that SSB's alleged sexual acts with boys in their late teens is 100% illegal and the argument of consent is irrelevant! Oddly enough, Sanjay is trying to defend Reinier Van Der Sandt when he admitted he saw "kiddie porn" and found "lots of kiddie porno-sites". Sanjay clearly implies that it is okay if it was "teen-porn", but not okay if it was kiddie porn! Reinier Van Der Sandt knows the difference between "kiddies" and "teen-agers". Or so one would think.

Click Here to view Sanjay's comments about child porn in which he said, "Because even if it is true that I saw child porn, so what? It's just a picture?". This is not only a very seriously disturbed comment, it also flies in face of Dadlani's Hare Krsna beliefs in which "pictures" are given much priority! Hare Krsna's not only worship pictures of Sri Krsna with incense, flowers, candles and prayers, they also prostate themselves before these pictures and offer food to them! However, when it comes to a picture of a child being sexually abused, all of a sudden, it is "only a picture"! I guess a picture of a child being sexually abused negates the criminal act of sexual abuse that resulted in that picture being made in the first place? Sanjay even has the audacity to call Lisa a "foul-mouthed person"! Shame on Dadlani!

These comments, by Sanjay, came from a discussion in which Sanjay claimed he was a "porn investigator" and that he worked for the IWF in 2001. Sanjay said, "When I did a little work experience for the IWF in 2001, I used many different emails and IDs, and carried out my research into many newsgroups. I did in fact receive illegal porn pics from some newsgroups which I duly reported to my seniors, which eventually led to the shutdown of those illegal newsgroups as per IWF policy. I didn't receive any pics from alt.sex jesus and alt.sex.biblical, frankly because well, I didn't receive any pics there. This is why the NG was judged as relatively "harmless" and was not shut down as per IWF policy. Any more questions, retardio?" Of course, this is another blatant lie! Lisa DeWitt emailed the IWF about Sanjay's claim that he worked for them and they denied it! The IWF said, "Dear Lisa, The IWF have never employed anyone by the name Sanjay Dadlani. IWF staff carry out proactive work as well as reacting to reports from the public. However this work is only carried out by trained staff on IWF premises. We would never employ or ask anyone to look for illegal content from their private computers, as this is against the law. Does Sanjay have a Jesus-Sex-Fetish? It most certainly appears that he does or did. Since it has already been conclusively established that Sanjay did not work for the IWF, Sanjay is at a sore disadvantage to explain why he posted on these sites asking for Jesus and Biblical sex pictures! Sanjay said, in regards to these posts (Click Here), "In any case, I haven't seen any pictures since I requested them way back in 2001 and forgot all about it. Reinier tells us that he has been looking at it now (2003) for HOURS and has failed to find any. So you haven't provided proof of any pictures being posted or received, especially by me." Here is a clear admission, from Sanjay, that he "requested" Jesus/Biblical sex pictures back in 2001! Of course, these groups provide emails for people to send each other the pornographic material they seek. Consequently, it is entirely possible Sanjay received Jesus and Biblical sex pictures from this site. Another sexually focused person with a perverse sex fetish attacking SSB!

S.K. Dadlani: The Anti-Cult Cultist:

Sanjay Dadlani has mysteriously allied himself with Anti-SSB Activists who happen to be Anti-Cults. Anti-SSB Activists believe that the Sathya Sai Movement is a "cult" and have cited Apologetics Index and Rick Ross to support this view. Funny enough, apologeticsindex.org and rickross.com both classify the Hare Krsna's as a "cult" as well! If we are to accept the statements made on these two cult sites, then Sanjay is a Hare Krsna "cult" participant who is attacking the SSB "cult"! Despite these facts, not even one Anti-SSB Activist criticizes Sanjay for associating himself with the Hare Krsna "cult". Anti-SSB Activists will allow anyone (yes, even Anti-Semites) to criticize SSB as long as it furthers their agenda of hate and vindictiveness. It is also a fact that the Hare Krsna's have a past history of child abuse, murder, sexual abuse and women degradation, replete with lawsuits. Despite these facts, Sanjay Dadlani continually derides SSB as an abuser, molester, etc., despite that no lawsuit has ever been filed against SSB for alleged acts of sexual abuse! More face-saving hypocrisy from Dadlani.

I Address Sanjay Dadlani's Personal Attacks Against Me:

Although Sanjay has never spoken to me via email or any other means, he has resorted to attacking me in the SathyaSaiBaba2 Yahoo Forum. Sanjay's first attacks against me occured on November 7th 2004. The main "ExBaba: Deception" section of my site hit the internet on October 31st 2004. Lisa DeWitt posted some of my articles on November 2nd 2004 (#41916) and on November 4th 2004 (#41947). Mr. Dadlani attacked and slandered me (on November 7th 2004) never trying to contact me via email or any other means. This is important to remember because recently, April 25 2005 (or 5 months later), Sanjay said, "This is why I never bothered to reply to the long email that Morèno sent to me. He includes my name and our "exchange" on his E-MAIL page even though I have never sent any email to him. He replied to a post of mine on this group and sent me his comments on it, and posts it on his E-MAIL page as if we have exchanged emails. Whatever. I initially thought he was honest and genuinely trying to get to the bottom of things. I was all ready to help him out. But having witnessed his stupid behaviour since then, I have never bothered to write back to him. Everything I have read on his website since then has made me more and more convinced that I made the right decision. These idiots seem more concerned with analysing us than analysing Sai Baba." Lisa DeWitt posted some of my very first articles on the Yahoo Forum and Sanjay's response (3 days later) to these articles were the comments you find on my email page about him. He never tried to contact me (even after I emailed him) to "help me out". And I have the posts to prove it. Furthermore, Sanjay implies that character does not count by trying to say that those who are Anti-Sai, should not be analyzed. Anyone who makes criminal allegations publicly, are opening themselves to public examination. This is just the way it is. Tough luck, Sanjay.

As a matter of fact, just recently (in order to cover his tracks), the Saibabaexposed Yahoo Forum was closed down and all incriminating posts from Reinier van der Sant were deleted!"

Sanjay responded by saying, "As per the Yahoo Terms & Conditions, if a group owner does not login to their account for four months, any groups of which they are the owner run the risk of being deleted. Since I am the (ex-)owner of the Sai Baba Exposed yahoogroup and I had not logged into my account for over four months, my group was unfortunately deleted. The group would also had survived if the membership was more active. Since I hadn't logge din and nobody posted anything (this making the group inactive), it was closed down by Yahoo. For Joè Morèno to suggest that the group was closed down to "cover Reinier's tracks", which is also a slander against me since it implies that I am a part of this supposed "conspiracy", is just another of the sleazy little tricks he stoops to in order to malign people. Joè Morèno really should check his facts before opening his mouth. Thi is why I still haven't bothered to reply to his email that he sent to me. I had prepared a reply which is still sitting in my draft box, but having witnessed stupid and childish behaviour from Morèno I decided not to send it since no good can come of talking to such a foolish person who is also a liar." Of course, this is another blatant lie. I guess Sanjay left his "draft" in his mailbox for 5 months? Suspiciously enough, this Yahoo Group was deleted just prior to RVDS making his attack pages against me. I had read some of RVDS's incriminating posts (under the fake name "end_of_baba" that RVDS admitted using) on this Yahoo Group. This site was deleted so fast, the link is still provided under the Links section at ExBaba.com! Now, Click Here to view a screen capture of the SaiBabaExposed Yahoo Forum and the proof that Reinier Van Der Sandt (using the fake name "end_of_baba") posted there. This fully supports my contention that RVDS's posts were deleted in an effort to suppress incriminating posts he made on this forum under fake names. This site had no activity since May of 2004! I guess Sanjay just kept it open for a year "just because"? Also, Yahoo sends out a 30 day e-mail warning when no one posts in a group for 30 days. Consequently, Sanjay knew the Group was going to be terminated if he checked his e-mail.

Reinier VDS, on the other hand, claimed he found "lots of kiddie porn" and admitted to perusing the sites fully, wanting to "see more" and even trying to enlarge the images of children being sexually abused! Then Sanjay said, "Morèno seeks to bring into public the fact that Reinier was never a devotee, therefor why does he devote so much time to hosting a website etc. against SB? By Morèno's own logic, he never was nor is a devotee of Sai Baba yet hosts his own website devoted to criticising Exbaba articles. It is so funny how people can point fingers at others and not recognise the faults in themselves, as well as the gaping holes in their arguments." Of course, this proves that Sanjay never read my site in depth. I have discussed my former devotee status with Lisa Tice on my email pages.

Kai politely asks several times for his picture to be removed since he feels it serves no purpose at all on the site, yet Joè refuses for no other reason than to be anal." Of course, this is yet another lie. If Sanjay had taken the time to refresh his page, he would have noticed that I removed Kai's email from the page on January 10th 2005. The page was under construction and I always remove email addresses from my site (unless mine is dispersed). Don't expect Sanjay to criticize his pathological-liar friend, Reinier Van Der Sandt, who not only used my image without providing a link to my site (what does he have to hide?), but edited and modified it without my permission!

Sanjay Responded by saying, "Joè Morèno is a member of this yahoogroup and other yahoogroups as well (except mine, I wonder why). He has also joined a lot of other different forums here and there to post his articles. I noted this more than a month ago, God knows how many forums he has joined since then." Of course, Sanjay finally got something right! I wanted to view to explore this Yahoo Group and the only I could do that was by joining it! Duh! I have not posted in this group and there is no reason why I would want to join Sanjay's group when I am not posting in them. The other forums I have posted on, were the same forums that Barry Pittard posted at. I attempted to level the playing field. If Barry Pittard is allowed to post at these sites without impunity, I wonder why Sanjay is taking issue with my postings that were made at these very same places? In mid-April 2005, Sanjay reported me to the BBTI for displaying ISKCON artwork on my site. Jiva Dasa (from the BBTI) emailed me and said, in part, "Since you are not using our materials in an objectionable way or for profit, we do not object to your using our materials on your site as long as you comply with our copyright policies and your use of our materials does not change." Turns out, I only had one BBTI image on my site, which was promptly removed after I informed Jiva Dasa that Dadlani would not relent until the image was removed. This once again points to the sheer desperation that Sanjay must resort to in order to attack others.

Update: October 21st 2005: Regarding The SathyaSaiBaba2 Yahoo Group:

On October 20th 2005, on the SathyaSaiBaba2 Yahoo Group, Sanjay wrote a response to Lisa in which he called this article "irresponsible" and said that I was "maligning" him (Ref. 1). Naturally, I informed Sanjay that if he supplied me with "direct evidence" (Sanjay's term), to refute the information on this page, I would update my article accordingly. Needless to say, what resulted was a garrulous and indiscriminate attack against me and others (Ref. Post #44968). Actually, I do not mind these types of flippant diatribes, as I have become accustomed to them by reading Anti-Sai material. However what I found rather disturbing was how Sanjay felt the need to to edit my responses and remove the links I submitted to reference the points I made. If someone were to read Sanjay's post, without reading my original post, one would be under the impression that I am making unsubstantiated accusations. Since I have pages that contain all of the relevant information, I prefer to provide a link (rather than posting voluminous amounts of information on the Yahoo page, which is difficult enough to read as it already is). After I requested Sanjay to stop deleting my links, Sanjay responded by saying, "Excuse me, who are you again?" This type of behavior once again goes to show how Sanjay resorts to sheepish acts of suppression and aggression to promote his smear and hate campaign against SSB and misrepresent viewpoints that clash with his own.
