Hi All,
Writing from my sick room, hepatitis A, very weak. The witness state
is actually the state of the goddess or saguna brahman,
although
there
is a state of observation below this. The
consciousness is all, that
is the witness state but it has not broken
through the nirguna
brahman
or full transcendent state of nirvana,
or full samadhi.
Vegetables are conscious so is the rock, Chandra Bose wrote much on
this and so did the book 'the secret life of plants'. However the
vegetable, although it reacts, doesn't have the complex
nervous
system
that causes an animal the acute pain.
On can be a purist and only eat nuts and berries, for they fall off
the tree. It depends on the level of spiritual awareness, we can only
make an effort.
