When The Facts & The Truth Just Aren't Enough:

Pittard then said that John C. Peters will verify that this warning refers to Sathya Sai Baba. Barry Pittard completely failed to mention that this advisory specifically stated that the reports of "inappropriate sexual behavior" are "unconfirmed"! Nor does he provide the actual link to the U.S. State Dept Warning. Furthermore, despite the warning saying absolutely nothing about "pedophile accusations", Pittard named his article, "U.S. State Department names Sathya Sai Baba Re Pedophile Accusations" (and repeated this title four times in the article). This type of deceptive behavior proves that Barry Pittard selectively omits relevant and factual information, and shamelessly replaces it with fabricated and inaccurate information; trying to further his one-way agenda of deceit and dishonesty against Sathya Sai Baba.

Not even one other Anti-SSB Activist has made or repeated this claim. Not even one! Where did Barry Pittard get this information from? Why is he publishing it on the internet when it isn't true? It is undeniable that Barry Pittard never saw these alleged affidavits that were supposedly submitted, in the USA, to the FBI. Nor has anyone else for that matter. The FBI does not disclose affidavit records to the general public. They are exempt from disclosure pursuant to Exemptions (b)(6) and/or (b)(7)(c) of the FOIA, Title 5, United States Code, Section 552. Consequently, the only way for Barry Pittard (who lives in Australia) to have seen the "well over a hundred sworn affidavits alleging sexual molestation of young males...lodged with FBI" would have been if he personally accompanied the affiants to the FBI, in the USA. On Anti-SSB Sites, the only person who allegedly went to the FBI was Hari Sampath. Hari Sampath tried to represent "Neptune" (an anonymous individual whose case was called "useless" by the FBI: Ref. 1) and others. Allegedly, the Rahms filed an affidavit (Ref. 2). Although the Rahms have never specifically stated that they filed an affidavit with the FBI (it appears that Hari Sampath took a statement from them to the FBI), if they did submit an affidavit they be would be #1. Where are the "well over a hundred" other U.S. Citizens? Barry Pittard cannot back up this statement with any documentation or any reliable sources with contact information.

Barry Pittard even said (of Anti-Sai Activists), "We do not slur. We present evidence and of a seriousness that is respected by our national governments, law enforcement agencies and non-sensationalist responsible media" (Ref. 3). This poem, written and posted by Barry Pittard, speaks for him to the contrary of these hollow assertions. Pittard refers to Sathya Sai Baba as a "bugger" (which is vulgar slang for a "sodomite"). The caricatured picture was added to this article and Barry obviously found it amusing and complimentary to his poem. Is this the behavior of someone who is neutral, who denies casting "slurs", who denies "acting hatefully" and whose "seriousness" is well respected by governments and investigatory agencies? Although Barry Pittard is perfectly entitled to do and say whatever he likes, this type of behavior contradicts his self-professed neutrality, seriousness, dedication to the truth and refraint from casting slurs.

One will notice how Pittard continually refers to SSB as a "bugger". A "bugger" (used in Australia, Britian and New Zealand) is vulgar slang for a "sodomite" (Ref. 4). This article is very revealing and gives vital insights to Pittard's character. Remember, this is the same man who said, "We do not slur. We present evidence and of a seriousness that is respected by our national governments, law enforcement agencies and non-sensationalist responsible media".

Click Here to see Mr. Pittards claims to there being "hundreds of sexual molestation allegations". Who and where are these alleged victims? Mr. Pittard cannot factually substantiate these claims whatsoever. Ojvind Kyro said he is only willing to verify that he has 10 affidavits (many of whom have already made their testimonies public, according to Robert Priddy and SaiGuru.net: Ref. 5). The ExBaba site has the testimonies of 16 people. Out of these 16, six give a first name only or a pseudonym, two did not call their experience "sexual abuse" or "molestation" and one cannot be confirmed to be who he says he is! This leaves us with 7 alleged victims. Out of these 7, Edwin Reu Rings said that SSB touched his groin once, in a quick gesture, when he had his clothes on, and initially saw nothing wrong with it; Jed Geyerhahn, Jens Sethi, Alaya Rahm and Conny Larsson give seriously contradicting testimonies; Afshin Khorramshahgol initially saw nothing sexual in what SSB did to him; and Hans de Kraker is the only one who gives a non-contradictory testimony (he only provides one account and nothing more). Don't expect Barry Pittard to give the general public the real facts regarding this matter. Alaya was born on January 8th 1979. The Seduced by Sai Baba Documentary aired on January 30th 2002. This means that Alaya was not "18 years old and at college", but was actually 23 years old and should have already graduated from college (if he took a regular four-year course). The Seduced documentary was in Dutch, so it is uncertain how it would have aired in the USA. To this day, July 2005 (as far as I know), this documentary has never aired in the USA (nor was it ever intended to). Why wasn't Barry aware of Alaya's real age? Wasn't he familiar with the Rahm Family and didn't he research their stories? Apparently not. It is also clear that Alaya's parents helped feed this untruth. One can only wonder why? Interesting enough, just two years later, the entire Rahm family, using their real names, allowed themselves to be internationally broadcast via the Secret Swami documentary!

Barry also said, "If you wish to connect with any of our highly qualified, experienced, respected sexual abuse counselors, let us know - we can refer you. If you or your family or others you believe to have been sexually molested by Sathya Sai Baba wish to to seek legal redress, we shall go all out to see that you and/or they have the benefit of advice from world class legal resources." In 5 years, despite having access to free "world class legal resources", not even one alleged victim or witness has filed a court case, in India, against Sathya Sai Baba! As a matter of fact, not even one alleged victim has even tried! Why didn't Barry Pittard give his "world class legal resources" to those who made their alleged sexual abuse allegations public? Why hasn't anyone come forward to utilize these "world class legal resources"? Don't expect any answers from Mr. Pittard. He's gone mum on the specifics. It is also important to point out that Conny Larsson is a self-professed multi-millionaire. Despite his molestation claims, he has never even attempted to file a court case against SSB, in India. Nor has he assisted anyone else to do so. Why not?

As a matter of fact, Mr. Pittard continually cites high ranking officials, eminent persons and world-reknown specialists, but fails to provide even one name to back up his claims. Why? Also, Mr. Pittard makes reference to "extremely powerful evidence" against Sathya Sai Baba. This "evidence" is so "extremely powerful", it has never been taken to a court of law in India, by alleged victims (first-hand), despite being offered free "world class legal resources"!

Apparently, Mr. Pittard's vindictiveness not only motivates him to seek justice, it also motivates him to destroy the Sai Organization by trying to impact their financial contributions! Needless to say, the Sai Organization is still the largest recipient of foreign contributions in India. This fact indicates that the Anti-Sai movment has failed, on all counts, to make any significant impact against Sathya Sai Baba.
On the QuickTopic Forum (Post #102, 8-30-02) Barry Pittard openly praised Sanjay Dadlani as an example worthy of imitation. Pittard said, "Until the latter half of 2001, after a private, fairly lengthy and mutually respectful correspondence with Glen Meloy and me, Sanjay Dadlani of the U.K. was a formidable opponent, trading vituperation with vituperation with some sharp-tongued former devotee discussionists such as Hari Sampath, Afshin Khorramshahgol and Ole Alstrup. As far as I observe, the scarcely twenty-year old Dadlani now works hard at exposing Sai Baba, and has also dropped his attacking style, which he had begun to modified even as a Sai Baba apologist so as not to play into the hands of his extreme former devotee antagonists. May they, who are so much older, learn from his example!"
The only problem, with Pittard's praise for Dadlani, is that Dadlani has a serious propensity to exaggerate the truth, engaged in highly questionable and perverse behavior and became a vicious Anti-Sai behemoth after becoming an SSB apostate. Even Anti-Sai Activists (such as Khorramshahgol, O'Clery and Sampath) complained about Dadlani's pathological lying even after he became an Anti-Sai Activist. Dadlani even said that Glen Meloy (the champion of Anti-Sai Activists) was "disturbed" and he had information on Meloy that could destroy Meloy's reputation! On October 26th 2005, I sent an email to Barry Pittard about Dadlani's shocking behavior and asked him if he was willing to retract his past comments about Dadlani. I told Pittard that I would hold him accountable for his past comments unless his current opinions have changed. Pittard refused to answer my email. This speaks volumes about Pittard's lack of character and his unwillingness to speak out against other Anti-Sai Activists who have an established pattern of obscene and deviant behavior. Apparently, Pittard sees absolutely nothing wrong with Dadlani's requests for Jesus, Biblical and Disney pornography, repeated lies, vicious attacks and kinky, trashy, misogynistic and racist comments made on his online blog! Shameful!
Barry Pittard actively seeks to undermine the good names of Sai Devotees, or any notable individual holding a favorable view on Sathya Sai Baba. Barry Pittard attempted to smear the good name of the Jewish Rabbi David Zeller, simply because he spoke at Sai Interfaith Conferences at Prashanti Nilayam (Reference). Barry Pittard also attacked Dr. Sunny Anand simply because he made a tribute to Sathya Sai Baba (Reference). Neither of these individuals have spoken against Mr. Pittard or his coterie of Anti-Sai Activists. All they did was simply speak favorably about Sathya Sai Baba. That's it! Pittard's actions point to his low and vindictive spirit, whose hate campaign extends beyond Sathya Sai Baba and the Sai Organization and targets high profile devotees or notable individuals holding a favorable view on the Indian Guru.
