What - move on to the stifling of conscience? So long as we understand that spiritual dimensions are importantly connected to our conduct in the ordinary world, working for justice where high crimes have left a tragic trail of victims can in fact be an excellent component of spiritual practice. Leave injustice unaddressed and ignorance, naiveté and lack of compassion will still more overtake the world. The bullies, the dominators, the dictators will then have a field day.

My Response: Why can't Anti-SSB Activists move on to actual court hearing against SSB? If Barry Pittard does not want to leave justice unaddressed, why is he failing to seek justice in a court of law? Barry's warped sense of "justice" is spamming his articles on the internet in various forums! In five years, one would think that Anti-SSB Activists would have had the basic forethought to form a money-pool for alleged victims, in order to pay for air tickets, legal representation and even personal security. Instead, they have resorted to internet propaganda and websites that not only lie, but disperse anonymous, unsubstantiated and deceitful articles as the truth.

At the same time, it is important not to get stuck in the aspects of sadness and struggle entailed in making a stand in worldly affairs. This can be achieved by balancing other interests in life, and in cultivating healthy life-style choices

This hardly sounds like someone who is balanced and cultivating healthy life-style choices. But then again, that is just my own personal opinion.

The work to bring a predator to justice can be a service of joy, allowing for the interplay of many types of skill and creativity. It calls upon the assertion of many cherished human values, such as compassion for the victims; desire to avert further crimes; duty of care; fearless honesty and steadfastness in the face of repeated personal attacks and against vast and corrupt obstruction by those partial to Sathya Sai Baba in the Indian government, police, legal system and media; carefulness in handling of the truth; refusal to stoop to the mean-spirited methods of one's antagonists; devotion of time and energy without selfish motive; to mention just a few meaningful choices.

My Response: I think this site conclusively shows that Anti-SSB Activists care less about factual integrity and care more about their agenda of hate and vindicitiveness at any cost. Anti-SSB Activists have so much "fearless honesty and steadfastness in the face of repeated personal attacks" that they banned me from linking to their site (yes, I provide links to their site, which they have refused to do, in return) and have engaged in some of the most vicious and vile personal attacks I have ever encountered in my life. Why? Simply because I voiced my valid and just criticisms and concerns.

The tide is turning. Anti-SSB Sites no longer dominate the internet with their propaganda. No one has undertaken this herculean task, until now. I am dealing with them now. It is all too obvious that Anti-SSB Activists are running scared, closing ranks and are waging a sustained effort to suppress my side of the story. Our introspection and discrimination need to refer to our lives in the world; and we need not to dwell alone among inner dimensions. We are body, heart and mind, not disembodied spirits. The cave faces the world, and the world faces the cave.

Cult members often do not think of themselves as being in a cult. There is that superficial freedom that comes of having one's thinking done for one, whereas, a real freedom springs from the spirit that arises from the self-respectful facing and working through difficulties, and in affirming our bond with our fellow human beings, especially in the practical expressing of our care for them - ever more so when it comes to the care and protection of the young.

My Response: This is true. Cult members do not think of themselves as being in a cult. But others can see it very clearly. Anti-SSB Activists, in my opinion, have formed their own cult, replete with cult characteristics. Cults members have an "us versus them mentality" (as is commonly seen among Anti-SSB Activists). Cult members feel they are not bound to the laws of the wider community (which explains why Anti-SSB Activists fail to take their "abundant evidence" to a court of law). Cult members often herd together and employ "group thuggery" tactics to obtain a desired benefit. This is evidenced in the all too common Anti-SSB Activist ploy where a collective attack is made against a single person who holds a contrarian view. Anti-SSB Activists do this by ganging up on a single person via email (look at ExBaba.com's "Letters Section") or by divulging personal contact information so that the group can attack that person collectively. Some Anti-SSB Activists, like Reinier Van Der Sandt, feel that they are entitled to lie, while, at the same time, demand truthfulness of others. This is a typical cult characteristic where they feel that the "ends justify the means". Questioning and doubts, toward Anti-SSB propaganda, are seen as unfavorable and character assassination is the preferred method of reply. The predomiance of several vocal top leaders with numerous, less vocal followers believing and doing what they are told (sheep mentality) and refusing to even consider an alternative viewpoint is clearly seen in ExBaba.com's "Letters Section". Enough said!

What could be more authoritarian and cultic than the Sathya Sai Organisation's refusal to listen to the numerous allegations from around the world? What could more lend itself to the hermetically sealed-off quiet life of pretending problems don't exist, or that if they do 'Swami will take care of them all'?

My Response: Anyone can make an allegation. As a matter of fact, throughout the years, SSB has been the target to numerous allegations. In the news, it is commonly seen that people make criminal allegations against others, ranging from rape to murder, only later, through the process of law, to be determined as having lied. Allegations are simply claims. When one can back up an allegation with proof, an allegation becomes a conviction through a court of law. SSB has never been convicted of anything. At the rate Anti-SSB Activists are going, he never will be convicted of anything. Despite rampant claims of "evidence", "documentation" and "proof", no one has even tried to take it to court! Instead, they have taken their case to the internet, where they can say what they want, how they want and as many times as they want. As a matter of fact Anti-SSB Activists are perfectly entitled to do this. However, I think the general public needs to be made aware of this fact.

Is it not better, however uncomfortable, to search out the truth and to be open and honest in reporting one's findings? Should we ignore the victims' cries - or is it better to stop to understand with the heart of listening and to start to act with the hand of social responsibility?

My Response: Absolutely. However, I know how Anti-SSB Activists react when one "searches out the truth" and is "open and honest in reporting one's findings". They resort to vicious and baseless attacks that do not address the pertinent questions and issues. Since Barry Pittard has not refuted any of my points of contention, his silence is proof enough that my critical questions and valid observations cannot be refuted. However, they can be suppressed, which is the reason why he fails to provide any answers.

I have shown that many of these "slurs" do, in fact, have merit to them. Not all of them are true. Nor do I agree with some of them. However, it is amusing to note that many Anti-SSB Activists use these very same slurs against others. All these things are clever ploys to detract from the important questions: Where is the proof and evidence? Where is the documentation to support Anti-SSB Claims? Where is the independent verification to the "over a hundred" alleged affidavits? Where are the testimonies from the "hundreds" of young men and boys? Where is the independent verification to the signatures on the online petition? In order for anyone to take Barry Pittard seriously, he must answer these questions and supply the proof and evidence he makes mention to, but fails to provide.
