[1] DAVID BAILEY'S PERSONAL EXPERIENCES: A CLOSER LOOK:

David Bailey claims that he wrote The Findings because of "many rumours (often completely untrue)...spread about Faye and myself, as to why we moved away from Sai Baba." However, according to Hari Sampath, that is not the real reason why The Findings was written. Before I talk about Hari Sampath's post, I would also like to point out that, oddly enough, Bailey makes no mention to any of the "many rumors (often completely untrue)" made against him. Not even one! Why not? I think the reason will become very clear as this article progresses.

said, "The first 100 or 200 messages will give an insight into how the expose developed at that point. Afshin Khorramshahgol (la_quake) , myself (delta_108), Ole Alstrup (sainath99), parvarti, and Paul Holbach (p_holbach) were initially active in these discussions, and later David Bailey joined the expose within a couple of weeks, and the Findings was planned. " Hari Sampath claims it was only later that David joined the exposé, and in "a couple of weeks", The Findings was planned. This means that David wrote the The Findings after contacting other anti-SSB activists and planning it all out. This adds credence to the suspicions surrounding David's desperate attempt to save face regarding his questionable involvement with children.

Although I personally find it reprehensible to spread second hand stories, ExBaba.com's position, on second hand stories, is that they are not necessarily without merit: http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/witnesses/gerson.html Consequently, using ExBaba.com's reasoning, it is important to know that David Bailey is alleged (albeit second hand) to have indulged in sexual acts with children. Although I personally do not believe these second hand accounts, one can certainly see the logic behind them, especially in light of things said by David himself.

On This Page David Bailey claimed that his stepson was allegedly abused by SSB (before he wrote The Findings). However, David never mentioned it in The Findings! I think having one's own stepson sexually abused would provide sufficient reason for leaving Sathya Sai Baba. This would also reinforce David's claims to others being sexually abused by SSB. Despite this significant and pivotal information, David made no mention about it in The Findings! Why not? David's stepson has refused to discuss this issue in any way. The story of David stepson's alleged abuse is contradictory. On This Page, David said that his stepson was only "french kissed" by SSB. However, On This Page (by Robert Priddy) it is claimed that David's stepson was kissed "on the corners of his mouth" and was sexually touched.

Faye Bailey, who wrote the Introduction to The Findings, made no mention to her son being sexually abused or kissed by Sathya Sai Baba! Faye Bailey even said, on this page "Whilst still at the ashram, the worst thing for me - as a mother of sons - occurred when a young man, a college student, came to our room, to plead with David." Despite Faye's motherly instinct, and alluding to a terrible scenario if something sexual occurred to one of her sons, Faye made no mention to any of her sons being allegedly sexually abused or touched by SSB! If the alleged sexual abuse occured later, why would they leave their son alone with SSB after finding out all this information?

On This Page, David Bailey talked about returning from his world tour, to England, where he was confronted with a fraud squad from Scotland Yard, the British Government's Foreign Office and Charity Commissioners. They had "proven cases of fraud". Despite this "major investigation", David has yet to make public the documents that would have clearly existed if such a major investigation (with proven cases of fraud) did occur. These documents would be public domain and there is no reason why they would have been withheld.

David proceeds to tell us how he lost his job and how he was only allowed to teach children in the classroom and not allowed to work in the evenings with children. David was also prohibited from attending rehearsals, with children, and was only allowed to attend the performances when other adults were present. Clearly, the authorities had sufficient reason to suspect David's sexual involvement with children. It is a fact that David Bailey was suspected of sexual impropriety with children. David admits this. He even said he had a "record". However, David attributes his "record" due to his association with Sathya Sai Baba!

One can logically reason that Mr. David Bailey, in a desperate attempt to save face (and shift the focus from his alleged sexual improprieties with children), came up with a story that faulted Sathya Sai Baba. After all, there were already rumors of sexual abuse against SSB. All Mr. Bailey had to do was open the Pandora's Box of sexual allegations, rumoring against SSB. And open the box he did! To further his story (and adding a convenient excuse for his own alleged sexual improprieties), David claims that he was being singled out, for suspected pedophilia, because of his association with SSB. However, if this were truly the case, why wasn't David confronted with this information from the fraud squad from Scotland Yard, the British Government's Foreign Office, the Charity Commission or his place of employment? Did they so poorly investigate Mr. Bailey that they forgot to mention the allegations made against SSB and his association with SSB? No one told David why he lost his job and why his activities with children were being restricted! This is very difficult to believe. Not long after David's suspected pedophilia, he made the explosive allegations against Sathya Sai Baba. The focus was conveniently taken away from him and placed on Sathya Sai Baba. This sums up the second hand account ,against David Bailey, supported by Bailey's own words.

It is also true that David and Faye Bailey remained silent for 18 months after they found out about SSB's alleged sexual abuse of students! There is NO record of either David or Faye questioning SSB, at any time, about any of these allegations! Why not? Faye Bailey, in the introduction to The Findings, said:

"We were placed in an untenable situation; unable to risk creating similar chaos in other spiritual seekers of like investment. The only course was to say little and move away, which caused a furore of angry and untrue rumours about us to proliferate...Last year, David felt it appropriate to share his findings when personally questioned, but the dilemma of whether to speak or not tested me sorely. I felt keenly the responsibility of holding this negative knowledge; recognising that silence made me part of the conspiracy, but kept praying that given time, somehow, all of it would be satisfactorily explained away. It was not to be...Over the past eighteen months we have become privy to so many serious, and horrific allegations, and so much damning information sent from disillusioned ex-devotees from all over the world (in particular, from ex-students of Sai Baba's male colleges) which supported our own findings, that it is now impossible to remain silent."

This is also confirmed, on this page, when David said, "When Faye and I discovered what we knew, we decided that we felt it was better to be silent because there are so many people there who rely on him." [Oddly enough, the phone conversation cuts off abruptly after David said this. The phone conversation was not over and one can only wonder what self-incriminating information was withheld.] David and Faye remained silent, despite their claim of numerous students being allegedly sexually abused by Sai Baba! David and Faye Bailey also maintained their deafening silence despite their own son being allegedly sexually abused by SSB! Why didn't David ask SSB about these things, considering he had over 100 interviews? Why would David or Faye allow their son to be alone with SSB, after they knew about the alleged, sexual abuse? Furthermore, why did David and Faye continue to visit Sathya Sai Baba during these 18 months? They knew (allegedly) that SSB was accused of sexual acts with minors. Despite knowing this, and accepting it as the truth, they continued to go back to see SSB over and over again!

Another possible reason why David and Faye Bailey remained silent was because they wanted to make money off of their books. Considering David's self-admitted financial difficulties, this is a plausible scenario. David released his book, A Journey to Love, Book 2 [ISBN-81-86822-60-7 First Edition 1998], and Faye Bailey released her book, Another Journey to Love [ISBN-81-86822-40-2 First Edition 1998], within the 18 month time frame when they knew about the accusations against SSB. Couple this with the fact that both remained silent for 18 months after they knew about the alleged, sexual abuse accusations, and things begin to appear very questionable indeed. As a matter of fact, David and Faye were still promoting themselves (using Sathya Sai Baba's name) upto May 1st 1999 (Reference)!

Also, David does not divulge the fact that the Ashram Officials tossed him and Faye out of the Ashram before the Bailey's came out with The Findings. The incident occurred at Christmas time and Faye wanted her Christmas play to be used for the Western children's performance. David intended to be involved with the Christmas music program. David and Faye Bailey snubbed the private room that SSB provided for them and wanted a more luxurious room at Sai Towers to solicit audio cassettes that had David's music on them. In other words, David Bailey was trying to make money off of SSB's name. It was announced that only devotees staying inside the Ashram could participate in the Christmas program. The Bailey's became furious. SSB called David for an interview and David told SSB that if they were not given a suitable room, they were going to leave. Apparently, SSB did not concede to David's demands and David and Faye left to Mahabalipuram, where they both fell ill. Consequently, the disgruntled Bailey's wrote The Findings after they were thrown out of the ashram, lost their VIP status and were not allowed to participate in the Christmas celebrations.

It is also important to point out that David, prior to marrying Faye, was perceived by many as possibly being a homosexual (apparently he never dated women until he met Faye when he was 40 years old). In order to quash this perception, David asked SSB for a wife numerous times. Almost every time David Bailey saw SSB, he was asking about a wife. David tried twisting it around saying that SSB put the pressure on him to find a wife. Faye expressed interest in David and David was prepared to marry her without ever having seen her! SSB expressed his initial displeasure in the marriage proposal because Faye was considerably older than David and she had six children of her own. SSB also refused to give Faye a wedding sari.

Let us look at Mr. Bailey's claims regarding SSB's materializations. It is indeed true that any materialization that SSB does, with vibuthi, lingams and jewelry can be easily duplicated by magicians. This is just a fact. There is no way around this. So David's observations regarding the materializations of vibuthi, lingams and jewelry is believable. The only thing that cannot be duplicated, by a magician, are the healings directly attributed to the vibuthi that SSB materializes, or that materialize from his pictures, all around the world. Regarding improper fitting rings and jewelry, there are two sides to this issue. Pro's and Con's. Some claim that SSB can make rings fit perfectly (as David himself claimed) and other do not. With some jewelry, SSB changes it at the request of devotees, and sometimes, he does not. Indeed, SSB's behavior allows ample room for doubt. So these observations and doubts regarding materializations, by Sathya Sai Baba, are justifiable.

However, despite David's newfound realization about SSB's materializations being fake, David has given, positive, first-hand accounts of materializations that he saw SSB perform (Update: 6-20-05: Transcript). On This Page, it said, "Recently there was a video made by the British Broadcasting Commission. They interviewed David Bailey, one of the top, if not the top, pianist in England. He has played for the Queen etc. On the video Bailey said that he also had his ring valued, and the jeweller said that it was real.". Later, however, David recanted this statement, in The Findings, when he said, "I was told by Sai Baba and also by members of his inner circle, that my 'materialised' ring with it's huge stone was a sixty-four faceted diamond of great commercial value. After leaving the ashram in December 1998, I damaged one of the clasps on the ring and took it to a jeweller in southern India, many hundreds of kilometers away. This stranger immediately recognised it as a 'Sai Baba' ring. He told me that the metal it was made of was not gold, also that the stone was a valueless zircon, and under it there was a piece of silver paper to make the zircon glitter, which was why the back of the ring was solid. He informed me that these hard backed rings are especially made for Sai Baba. As he took the stone out to repair the damaged clasp, sure enough, a piece of silver paper fell out, and the stone thus revealed was seen to be a zircon."

David Bailey talked about the miraculous materialization of this ring in his book, A Journey to Love (page 65): "Swami waved His right hand in the air in a clockwise circular motion and under His hand in mid-air appeared the most astonishingly huge diamond ring. "Give me the fourth finger of your left hand. It will fit." He slid it on and it was fantastic, a perfect fit. I could not believe my eyes."

Bailey, David also says that SSB's "trinkets" are bought at Puttaparthi, Bangalore or Hyderabad. Despite David's account with a jeweller "many hundreds of kilometers away" from Puttaparthi, David provides no supporting information to back this claim up. Where did he take the ring? Who was the person who recognized it as a "Sai Baba ring"? These are vital questions that could provide facts to corroborate his story. However, David is eerily silent about these facts. Why? Even Robert Priddy said, "It is a pity that he (David Bailey) did not have it filmed and documented with photos etc. when he went to a jeweller in Hyderabad in 1999, who actually produced such rings for SSB...The Hyderabad jeweller (whose name and address were unfortunately not given by Bailey) reportedly also showed that silver foil had been placed behind the enclosed stone to create a silhouette, and demonstrated how he himself did this, placing the foil on a blackened background." David Bailey further talked about his first-hand viewing of a materialized jappamala in his book, "A Journey To Love" (page 80), in which he said, ""He waved His right hand in the air, and, slowly, from about 4 inches under His hand, in mid-air, appeared the most beautiful Japamala (rather like a set of rosary beads, with 108 beads) in silver and crystal." David Bailey said he personally saw the jappamala appear in "mid air", four inches below SSB's hand.

David also related the following story in his book A Journey to Love (page 45): "...Another man sat to my left between me and His (SSB) chair. Swami smiled and waved His right hand in the air and a gold ring with nine stones just appeared from nowhere. 'For you', He said to the man on my left. 'It won't fit', He added, trying to push the ring on to the fourth finger on his left hand. 'Try', He said to the man, and then to several others sitting in the room. No way would it go past his knuckle, so Swami held the ring with his two fingers, slipped it off and blew on it once, then slipped the ring back on...a perfect fit. Then He smiled and waved His hand in the air again. It seemed, in slow motion, that a gold bracelet with a watch in it dropped from the centre of His palm...'For you', He said to one of the ladies. 'Check the time', He added...it was correct!"

Consequently, despite David's observations and doubts, about SSB's materializations, David contradicts his earlier position on SSB's materializations and about materialized rings fitting fingers perfectly. When David Bailey was a devotee, he personally attested to the genuine and miraculous nature of SSB's materializations. Either David lied when he was a SSB devotee, or he is lying now. Either scenario does not look good for Mr. Bailey.

David claimed he has never seen a genuine healing. Besides my own healing, I have never "seen" a genuine healing either. I have personally met dozens of people that claim to have had major healing from SSB. Mr. Bailey is being equivocal. He is suggesting that since he has never "seen" a "genuine" healing, that they must not happen. Perhaps David never spoke to Robert Priddy (an anti-SSB activist) about his healing, or the numerous others who claimed they were healed? What would constitute a "genuine" healing anyway? David doesn't tell us. There are also many first hand accounts to SSB's healing powers detailed in books and personal experiences on the internet. One is free to either accept or reject these accounts. However, the inevitable fact remains, many healings are directly attributed to Sai Baba.

It is also important to point out that David is either lying now (as an ex-devotee), or lied when he was a devotee of SSB. In his book, Journey to Love (page 104), David says, "I have seen (and there are countless recorded incidents) of Him touching critically ill people in wheelchairs, with cancer, etc., and they were healed." David also related a first hand account of a healing he observed on pages 78 & 79 in his book. David related the following story: "Swami had called this Indian family along with a very, very elderly lady, who was in a wheelchair. The family started to push her towards Swami, when He apparently said, 'No, walk!' This lady got up from out of the wheelchair, the first time for 15 years we discovered, and walked elegantly up to the interview room and entered inside. This next part I saw. The door closed, and, as Swami had promised He would talk to me, I knew I must wait...I went in and the elderly lady was sitting on the floor...I sat next to her. Swami made some vibuthi for us, and then took the Australians in for their private interview. What happened next was a moment that I shall never forget in all my life. Swami invited the Indian family into the inner room. The two sons came to help the elderly lady up off the floor. 'No no' Swami said, 'Bhagavan here.' He raised His hands in the air, palms pointing down towards her, and I find the following few moments very difficult to put into words. As I was sitting beside her I felt exactly what happened. Energy poured out of His hands in a kind of circular motion, it was not like an elecrtical energy, it was sheer love, so powerful it was almost a glimpse of Heaven. I burst into floods of tears, I couldn't help it, the feeling was so beautiful. The elderly lady got up like a three year old and went into the inner room."

David Bailey said, of Maynard Ferguson, "A sad case for me is Maynard Ferguson. Over three years of deterioration in his hearing; during several interviews with him and his wife, he, his wife and myself asked - pleaded with Swami, to heal him. Every time, he promised to do so, but now Maynard is very deaf and has to rely on two powerful hearing aids to help him." I have contacted Matt Keller, who runs the Maynard Ferguson website, and he says that he is not aware of Maynard Ferguson's hearing loss. Matt told me, "From my own observation, MF does have some trouble hearing when there is a lot of background noise. For example, having a conversation in a busy gymnasium with a lot of echos. But he doesn't seem to have any trouble in a one-on-one setting...I've probably spoken with Maynard in person 20 times in the past 8-10 years, and have never seen a hearing aid. I guess that doesn't prove that he doesn't wear them, but if he does, they certainly aren't visible." Also, Maynard Ferguson has a very busy 2005/2006 touring schedule. If he is "nearly deaf", it surely isn't limiting his activities.

I am only aware of SSB having 2 cars, possibly 3. Since SSB is world famous and well known, and travels long distances from Puttaparthi to Bangalore (where car service is not readily available), why shouldn't he have 2-3 nice cars? Bailey incorrectly compares SSB with Rajneesh. Rajneesh had 93 Rolls Royces, one supposedly gold plated. SSB has only 2-3 cars. Two of them very nice. I know Americans who have more cars, and of better quality, than SSB! So this comparison, that David makes between SSB and Rajneesh, is absurd, desperate and fabricated. I guess he wants SSB to take the bus?

Sai Kulwant hall indeed has many chandeliers. The fact of the matter is that fluorescent light bulbs or dangling ceiling lights attract numerous bugs and mosquitoes, that are abundant in India. David is whining because there were 36 chandeliers, in the hall, to begin with and now there are 136 chandeliers. What David fails to divulge is that the hall was much smaller when it had 36 chandeliers. Sai Kulwant hall has grown, in size, three fold. As common sense would dictate, the number of chandeliers increased with the size of the hall! The chandeliers use multiple, small light bulbs that compliment the design of the hall and provide a reasonable lighting solution that works and does not attact bugs. What's wrong with that? From the poorest of the poor to the richest, everyone is allowed inside this hall. This hall is also the main hall used for festivals, darshan and discourses. When there was no hall, everyone complained about the rain and scorching sun. Now, they are complaining about the chandeliers and gold foil, on lotus designs, on the ceilings! Furthermore, Buddhists from Thailand donated, and applied, the gold foil to the lotus designs on the ceiling of Sai Kulwant hall. SSB did not buy the gold as Mr. Bailey is erroneously suggesting.

David is very upset that chandeliers and gold foil are on the ceiling of Sai Kulwant hall. David is not upset with temples, mosques and churches that are literally covered in jewels, gold, silver and antiques. David doesn't seem to care about the Vatican's Billion dollar empire or other main places of worship, all around the world, that are known for their phenomenal architecture and lavish decorations. SSB's ashram can hardly compare to any of these places of worship. There is not even seating in the hall. One must sit on a cushion, cloth or nothing, on the floor!

The discrepancies in SSB's discourses, in English, are true. They exist. However, no one has shown that these discrepancies came directly from the original, Telugu discourses. Rather, they appear to be editorial, translation discrepancies. An ex-devotee, Brian Steel, has written much on SSB's discourse discrepancies and inconsistencies. Mr. Bailey discussed the costs of building the Super Specialty Hospital. If anyone were to see it, indeed, they would be struck at the sheer magnanimity and incredible design of the hospital. To build and run this hospital would take enormous amounts of money. David seems to think that because there were massive donations to the hospital, there must be something fraudulent because the money donated, exceeded the building costs. David fails to take into account hospital materials, expenses, maintenance, repairs, staff pay and operation costs into the future. Another very naive and superficial assessment by David Bailey. Bailey also mentions the alleged "stolen kidney" incident that supposedly happened at the Super Specialty Hospital. The story is rather interesting. Mr Trimakababa Rao was a patient who was supposed to have a kidney transplant. Mr Balaji, his son, donated his kidney to his father. After the kidney transplant, the transplanted kidney was declared "non-functional, due to vascular occulation" (which means the kidney should have been removed). Consequently, Mr. Balaji's sister offered her kidney, however, the father had to be put on dialysis. Mr. Balaji heard of a "kidney racket" in Bangalore and was suspicious and had his father undergo a sonogram on August 5th, 1995 and a CT scan on August 7th, 1995. Both scans showed the father had both of his diseased kidneys. Mr. Balaji, despite finding out that his father did not have a kidney transplant, did absolutely nothing! After his fathers death in 1997 (2 years after finding out that the kidney transplant did not occur), Mr. Balaji made a complaint with the police and had his father's body exhumed, which confirmed no kidney transplant was done. What happened to the sonogram and CT scan? Why did Mr. Balaji wait for his father to die before he made a complaint 2 years after discovering the malpractice?

The Deccan Herald contributed to the confusion surrounding the facts, regarding the "stolen kidney". The writ petition was filed in 1999. 2 years after his father died and four years after the kidney malpractice. Also, despite getting a sonogram and CT scan in 1995, Mr. Balaji did nothing and apparently did not even submit this as key evidence. He waited 2 years until after his father died! In the writ petition, Mr. Balaji makes no mention of the sonogram and CT scans made in 1995. Furthermore, no one has produced any ruling made in this case. It has been 5 years and no one has produced any documents showing that the Super Specialty Hospital was at fault or negligent.

Despite the many problems that the Water Project initially encountered, the fact remains that approximately 700 villages receive water from the efforts of the Water Project. Even on the BBC documentary, the Secret Swami, Tanya Datta talks to a child about the water she was getting at an outlet supplied by the SSB Water Project. The girl said that they had been receiving water for many years and the water was good. Due to bureaucracy, some villages did not receive water. Even David talked about the Government's demands that put additional strain and added to the limitations to villages that were supposed to benefit from the Water Project.

The financial aspect of deception, regarding flats in the ashram, is true. I have met people who experienced this. People were misled into thinking they were buying a flat and it turned out they were simply buying a guaranteed space to reside (in the ashram) while they were in India. This has to do with Indian Laws regarding foreigners owning property. Even when purchasing a flat outside the ashram, many foreigners choose to make purchases under a 99-year lease option, because there are provisions, in Indian laws, that prohibits foreigners from owning land or property in Andrah Pradesh, except under very stringent conditions. It is very complex. Foreigners were not told this. However, now (and for several years), foreigners are being told about all of the details.

Mr Bailey talked about suicides of devotees of Sathya Sai Baba. Although I discussed this in my Witnesses 3 Section, I want to share the story of Aran Edwards, a man who killed himself and the blame was put on SSB. Aran Edwards, aged 37, committed suicide by hanging himself from the staircase in his home. Aran Edwards had never been to see SSB. Bailey said, of Aran, "He was sort of persuaded that Sai Baba looked after him, did everything for him and that he should write to Sai Baba with his problems". On This Page, David described Aran Edwards as follows, "He was quite an ill person, mentally unstable and needed orthodox help. In the end, he wrote a couple of dozen or more letters to Sai Baba. The group had told him this was what to do". And as if this wasn't enough, David further stated, "He used to ring me from phone boxes pleading with me. There were 35 phone calls, I suppose . . . he was absolutely desperate that I should talk to Sai Baba for him because he was in such a state and had written all these letters which he had sent out and hadn't had a reply. Could I please help because I was Sai Baba's right-hand man? At the end I said, ‘Wake up. He doesn't even read these letters'. He was so distraught about the situation, he decided to commit suicide." Can you imagine crushing the hopes of someone so desperate by telling them something so cruel? David knew Aran was an ill person, who was mentally unstable, yet David Bailey crushed Aran's hopes by first persuading him to write letters to SSB, then after persuading him to do this, David told Aran that SSB did not read letters, including his! This is, in and of itself, disgusting and reprehensible! And in that distraught state, Aran killed himself. Yet no one faults David Bailey and the pathetic way he dealt with poor Aran! As a matter of fact, David faults SSB!

On David's last trip to India, an unnamed SSB student told him to ask SSB to stop sexually abusing the students. This same unnamed student said that SSB's sexual abuse, of students, was the reason behind an attempt to kill SSB in 1993. This boy also pleaded, with David, not to have his name divulged. D. Bailey confessed that he didn't know the student's name, so the boy should not worry.

Then it is alleged, by Faye Bailey, on this page, that this student confided these facts with David because of "a trust which had built over his five years as a visiting professor of music to the Sai college". In 5 years David never learned the boys name! Perhaps the reason why David never learned the boy's name was because David, on this page, said that he did not spend "five years" as a visiting music professor, but rather, "taught in the College in Prashanti for 3, 3 and half years. Not all year, but for periods of 6 weeks, 2, 3, 4 times a year".

Also David said that various people spoke to him, of course, "in confidence" about sexual activity they had with SSB. All of these claims, coincidentally, came to a head when David Bailey was suspected of abusing children himself and his activity with children was severely restricted.

David talked about vibuthi manifestations, from pictures of SSB, which he said have nothing to do with SSB whatsoever. David seemed to imply that it is the power of the mind of the devotees that creats these manifestations. David also said that some of the appearances of vibuthi are fake and can be duplicated by chemical means. David conveniently fails to tell us what non-toxic chemicals are used (people eat the vibuthi) and fails to give us a demonstration. What is ironic is how Mr. Bailey does not attribute these manifestations to SSB, but to mind power. No where else, in the world, in churches, synagogues, temples or mosques, where thousands (or even millions) of people gather, do these manifestations of vibuthi, amrit, kum kum, sandlewood paste, flowers, mishri and fragrances occur. The Kumbha Mela is one of the largest religious gathering in the world, where millions of people congregate, specifically for a spiritual purpose. Nevertheless, no miraculous manifestions occur. The Hajj attracts millions of people who congregrate at Mecca with spiritual thoughts and no miraculous manifestions occur there either. Why do these manifestations of vibuthi, amrit, kum kum, sandlewood paste, flowers, mishri and fragrances occur only in relation to SSB? Especially when SSB supposedly has nothing to do with it? The fact of the matter is that these manifestations and miracles are a testimony to SSB's power. These types of manifestations, occurring directly in relation to a living person, seen as an Avatar, are unprecedented.

I have obtained an unedited audio cassette to a speech that David Bailey gave at a Houston Mini-Retreat on March 25th 1998. In this speech, David related first-hand miraculous accounts with Sathya Sai Baba, that included healing phenomena and viewing of materializations.
