Barry Pittard's criticism of Sathya Sai Baba is a reflection on Hinduism, Hindus, Indians and India. Barry Pittard (along with Robert Priddy) bashed and trashed the Ramayana (a revered text sacred to Hinduism, Hindu's, Indians and India). Pittard and Priddy said about the Ramayana:
"Nor can any intelligent person make good or relevant sense of it in the modern world – it is just a fantastic, impossible concocted story of the 'Superman' kind – with 'monkey-man' Hanuman lifting and flying aloft with a whole mountain (so Rama could pick out a herb from it!) or jumping across the sea to Sri Lanka. Come on, how can one be so backward intellectually? This may be o.k. for ignorant peasants, but the thinking world must regard it as sheer delusion!"
Therefore, Pittard and Priddy bashed Hinduism and Hindu's as being "backward intellectually" "ignorant peasants" whose revered scripture is a "fantastic, impossible concocted story of the Superman kind" that must be regarded as "sheer delusion".
Further sticking his foot in his mouth, Barry Pittard accused all Indians in India as suffering from corruption. Pittard said:
"Since everyone in India suffers from it somehow, the issue of corruption is fairly easy to talk about there. It is the way things are done, including getting non-corrupt matters done."
Therefore, Pittard's attacks against Sathya Sai Baba are coupled with his attacks against Hinduism, Hindus, Indians and India.

In January 2007, Anti-Sai Activists wrote an article claiming "Senile Sai Baba Can't Speak Clearly Any More!". Needless to say, since January 2007, Sathya Sai Baba has given numerous discourses, interviews and talks with students. Even as recently as August 22nd 2007, Sathya Sai Baba gave a 70 minute discourse. RadioSai reported:

After the Vice-Chancellor's ten minute address, Bhagawan conferred gifts of grace on the two research scholars who spoke yesterday, presenting them with chains and later with clothes. He stood up to address the students at 8.50 am.
In His Discourse, Swami exhorted the students to adhere to cultural values and always engage in fundamental discrimination - whether their actions were good or bad, right or wrong. Bhagawan deplored the current trend to add more and more institutions of higher education without regard to availability of teachers of the required standard. He advised the students that developing Self-confidence is more important than acquiring vast amounts of knowledge. He praised the overseas devotees who were leading blissful lives at Prasanthi Nilayam even though their accomodations were meagre, because of their faith and confidence.
After Bhagawan's 70 minute Discourse, the students sang the group song "Hum ko Tum se Pyar kitna...". Swami then accepted Arati and left for His residence.
In the evening, Bhagawan came to the stage area at 4.30 pm, and the Vice-Chancellor was asked to make some introductory remarks. He said that Bhagawan had asked for talks by students and teachers in the evenings and introduced the speakers for the evening, an MBA student and a senior member of the MBA faculty. Their speeches lasted till 5.15 pm, and Swami came into the Bhajan Hall for Bhajans. After forty minutes, He accepted Arati and returned to His residence." (Reference)
On the ExBaba website, an anonymous comment (which appears to have been written by Robert Priddy) said:
"Comment from Exbaba: Though Sai Baba is 81 (or - if official birth registers are relied on - is now really 84 years old), surely he should not be losing his mind in senility when so many others live into their 90s and beyond and yet retain their clarity and intelligence intact?"
What is so amusing about this comment is that the 'official birth registers' record Baba's alleged year of birth as 1929 (meaning Baba would be 78 this year, not 84 as the senile ex-devotee erroneously claimed). Furthermore, the alleged "official birth registers" are not official birth registers. They are ordinary school records (which cannot legally be substituted for birth-certificates).
There is no proof that Sathya Sai Baba is "senile" or "losing his clarity or intelligence". However, there is plenty of proof that the ex-devotee who wrote the anonymous post above is apparently going senile and losing his clarity and intelligence (because he apparently can't add or subtract and is obviously confused between official birth registers and ordinary school records). Just more proof that ex-devotees can't accurately report information on their dis-information websites. Critics are quick to jump to specious conclusions despite their obvious fraudulence.

ANANTAPUR: A mock bomb drill conducted by the police at Puttaparti on Thursday to assess the preparedness of authorities to face terror attacks, caused commotion.
Following bomb threats to Tirupati and Puttaparti, the police conducted the mock drill in front of Prashanti Nilayam. Two policemen fell down after bursting crackers. Cops in plain clothes rushed to the spot and shifted the 'injured' to hospital in an auto.
Devotees on the premises of Prashanti Nilayam ran helter-skelter following the 'explosion' unaware of the fact that it was a mock bomb drill. Shopkeepers downed their shutters and the entire area wore a deserted look within no time.
Rumours spread like wildfire that four people were killed in the bomb blast. Newspaper offices were flooded with phone calls seeking details of the incident. Some TV channels also broke the news of 'blasts' at Puttaparthi.
Later, the police revealed that it was a mock drill conducted to assess the alertness of authorities to face a terrorist attack, much to the relief of people.
The Satya Sai Trust reportedly complained to the Central and State governments against the police for conducting the mock bomb drill in front of Prashanti Nilayam without informing it priorly, which caused widespread panic. (Reference)
Not only does this article prove that the Police operate with automony at Puttaparthi (Ex Devotees claim that the police are in the pocket of Sathya Sai Baba and the Sai Org), it also shows how false rumors spread like wildfire in India.
If the Police were truly in the pocket of the Sai Organisation, one would think that the Police would have informed the Sai Org about their mock bomb attack. They did not. If the police were truly in the pocket of the Sai Organization, the Sai Org would not have filed official complaints with the Central and State Governments against them. They did.
Another Anti-Sai conspiracy theory bites the dust.
