SATHYA SAI BABA NEWS (With Updates And Comments):
NEWS: July 3rd 2006 Update:
In a response that Premanand wrote back in November 2005, he stated the following:
"The Right to Information Act has been promulgated and would come into force on 12.10.2005. So several unanswered questions by SSB and his leaders would come to light including the copy of the confidential GO, the CB-CID Report and the enquiry report of the RDO on which the murder case was closed. The law enforcement department would be forced to tell what has happened to their complaints and what action has been taken on them. The questions which GM is demanding I answer, he can address to the law enforcement department, the government and the judiciary. The state and central government may exempt SSB and his leaders as a special case to give information of the CB-CID report and the report by RDO on which basis the murder case was closed on a confidential Government Order. But in that case this would question the credibility of the Government in enacting 'The Right to information Act –2005'."
7 months after the act was to go into effect, all of Premanand's exaggerated claims regarding the Right to information Act - 2005 have yielded no results. None. As a matter of fact, Premanand has been completely mute about the entire matter. One can only wonder why.

- Can Spiritual Betrayal Be Addressed in India?
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/barrybetrayal.html
Comment: This is an article by Barry Pittard. Pittard is once again whining about all the corruption in India. According to Pittard, the corruption is so prevalent in India, one must resort to it to even when negotiating non-corrupt matters. Of course, when it comes to Rationalists and Skeptics in India, all of a sudden the corrupt landscape of India yields to the tranquil and serene pastures of morality, honesty and integrity! Of course, this couldn't be further from the truth (as I pointed out in my articles about India's GuruBusters and Basava Premanand). If India is so corrupt (as Pittard claims), then one can surely make the case that Swamis (like Premananda and Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati who have been prosecuted for murder and sexual impropriety) have also been victims of India's ubiquitous corruption. Of course, Pittard will never concede to this scenario. According to Pittard, corruption is only prevalent in association with Sathya Sai Baba.
"Should any guru be exempt from proper and lawful processes? If standards of conduct have been called into question, should not - for the sake of the most fundamental justice - the concerns be aired and properly investigated?"
Pittard is purposely resorting to deflection. Sathya Sai Baba was subject to the "lawful processes" of the Superior Court of California, and the Plaintiff (Alaya Rahm) self-dismissed his own lawsuit with prejudice (meaning that the same complaints filed in this court case cannot be retried again)! Alaya was represented by an experienced sexual-abuse trial lawyer and the case did not even make it to trial! Therefore, it is entirely fair to say that Alaya's allegations are without substance. Barry Pittard purposely refuses to "air" these facts because it would deflate his hot-air-balloon of "justice", which he uses as a facade to cover up the fact that neither he nor anyone else in the Anti-Sai Movement has any credible evidence against Sathya Sai Baba. Period.
- The hidden curriculum of Sathya Sai 'Education'
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/sergueisaieducation.html
Comment: This is an article written by Serguei Badaev in which he once again criticizes the Sathya Sai education program and promotes his group of irresponsible and dishonest Anti-Sai Activists. The main thrust behind this article seems to be Serguei's superficial criticism of what he argues is a lack of "critical thinking" in the curriculum of the Sathya Sai education program. What Serguei failed to mention is that many of Sathya Sai Baba's students are recipients of various national awards and are well known for their excellence in education. Sathya Sai Baba's teachers have even been given the prestigious National Award For Teachers by the President of India himself (Reference).
"The National Assessment and Accreditation Council is an autonomous body of the UGC, based at Bangalore. Colleges have to get the accreditation every five years. While it was stars, it is grades now. There are seven criteria on which they are assessed, like infrastructure, research facilities and teaching methods. There are nine grades: A++, A+, A, B++, B+,B,C++,C+, and C. In Kerala, there is only one college, which has A+, that is, St. Berchman's College, Changanassery. In India, there is only one college which has A++, that is the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prasanthi Nilayam. Grants from the UGC and recognition for more courses are based on these ranks, apart from the recognition it gets from academic circles all over" (Reference).
There is the unique success of the Sathya Sai School in Ndola, Zambia (Reference). Many of Sathya Sai Baba's followers have impeccable education credentials. Even in the Guru Busters documentary (which held a negative view on SSB) it was conceded that Sathya Sai Baba's followers "comprise much of the country's intellectual elite" (Reference). Dr G. Venkataraman is a former Vice-Chancellor of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. He also served at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai and the Indira Gandhi Atomic Research Centre in Kalpakkam. He was the Founder Director of ANURAG, a unit of DRDO - Defence Research and Development Organization. He is the recipient of the Sri C. V. Raman Centenary Award, Indira Gandhi Award and the prestigious Padma Shri Award from the Government of India. He currently teaches at the Institute besides running the Prashanti Digital Studio and Radio Sai.
Does all of this sound like an educational program and institute that does not promote critical thinking? Apparently, Serguei would rather that others give up their critical thinking skills and blindly believe his superficial arguments that hold no water. Serguie is suffering from cognitive dissonance by using his endless rationalizations in which he refuses to acknowledge the endless distortions and deceptions used by his fellow Anti-Sai Activists. Therefore, all of Serguei's critiques are unsupported and without effect.

Comment: A Scathing Response To Ex-Devotees About Alaya Rahm's Failed Lawsuit
NEWS: July 2006 Update:

http://www.saiguru.net/english/news/030925exposeupdate.htm
Comment: The lies disseminated by the Anti-Sai Movement are so widespread it often takes me a long time to find them and expose them. Just recently, I happened across the famous "Hartford School Shut Down" lie from Anti-Sai Activists. Barry Pittard said:
"By warning educational authorities and municipalities, we are stopping, the setting up of Sai schools. The Sai School in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, although fully sanctioned by education authorities to commence operation, was closed by the intervention of several activists who petitioned for its closure. So that they can cancel arrangements, owners of Sathya Sai Baba meeting venues, such as schools and community organisations, are shown the abundant evidence. This action constitutes defeat at the hands of the very communities the Sathya Sai Organisation would wish (for example, via its stealthy secular Human Values push) to win unto itself.".
Of course, this is a bold-faced lie. Jatin Desai wrote a letter to sevaks in Greater Hartford stating, "Connecticut region of the United States had announced the opening of a new Sri Sathya Sai School. It did not open as per announced. The principal has given permission to share the reason: Swami has directed us to wait until next year. We must follow His directions. I hope this helps. Sai Ram. -Jatin". The Sri Sathya Sai School of Hartford is listed in the Connecticut yellow pages (Reference) and was converted to a community center. I personally talked to Jatin (via email) and he told me that the claims that ex-devotees "intervened" and "petitioned for its closure" are totally false. More lies from Anti-Sais.
- Excerpts from Conny Larsson new book 'Behind the Clown's Mask'
http://www.saibabaexpose.com/bokrecension.htm
Comment: This is a solictation for Conny Larsson's Anti-Sai book entitled "Behind The Clown's Mask". The book was reviewed by Åsa Samsioe (a past vocal Anti-Sai Activist and an alleged "psychologist" living in Sweden). In Samsioe's past writing against Sathya Sai Baba, she even had the audacity to suggest (with no proof) that Baba's mother murdered 4 baby daughters before Baba was born (Reference). Samsioe is a low-caliber critic who thrives on conspiracy theories and disseminates frenzied speculations as the truth. This is type of person who is attempting to speak on behalf of Conny Larsson and uses her "psychologist" title to push her Anti-Sai propaganda.
