Comment: Amrita is not rose water. I have purchased some of the best rose water in India, and it does not resemble amrita in any way. Everyone who I have met who has tasted amrita (the nectar that materializes on Sathya Sai Baba's pictures all around the world) are at a complete loss of words in trying to describe its wonderful fragrance and taste. Not even one Anti-Sai Activist has been able to provide a recipe for making amrita. Not even one. They just say things like mix rose water with sugar, etc. This is rather surprising considering that Anti-Sai Activists imply that a prankster is making copious amounts of the amrita that manifests from his pictures all around the world.

Comment: It is true that the Central Trust is not very transparent. This allows people to speculate about the Central Trust's activities. However, the Central Govt. of India keeps track of donations and expenditures made to banks and trusts (trusts in India require Government approval). The Central Govt. of India has not made any comments about fraud or misappropriation of funds from the Sathya Sai Central Trust. As a matter of fact, a rediff.com article stated:
"According to a senior official at the home ministry, foreign contributions to Indian voluntary organisations and religious have been steadily increasing over the years.
"Foreign contribution to India have come under strict guidelines and rules; but we have not detected any major frauds in the past two years. We believe all this money is going for right charitable and religious purposes across the country," the official told rediff.com." (Ref)
