SATHYA SAI BABA NEWS (With Updates And Comments):
Peter Gussev, a Russian devotee who lived in Puttaparthi
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/gussev.html
Comment: This is about a Russian man who had a bout of some sort of psychiatric illness. He committed suicide and an unnamed person claimed they heard him crying out to Sathya Sai Baba. People who are Christians kill themselves as well. Do we blame Jesus?
Misleading Remarks Accepted as Truth
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/shortnews/misleadingremarks.html
Comment: Once again, we have a bunch of nameless people making comments against Sathya Sai Baba. It does not surprise me that the ExBaba website disperses messages from people who choose to be anonymous. Very few defamers have the courage to use their real names. When Pro-Sai Activists relay messages to Anti-Sai Activists under the guise of anonymity, critics hurl stones and call them "hypocrites" and "cowardly creatures". When it comes to fellow critics, the more anonymous defamers there are, the better.
Sai Baba screened by Humanist Associations
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/shortnews/screening.html
Comment: An atheistic, rationalist organization "screened" Sathya Sai Baba. It is also important to point out that this very same organization claimed Jesus was a fraud magician.

Remarkable insights on the vomit of a 'lingam'
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/lingamfake.html
Comment: Until Brian Steel can show us the contradictions in the original Telugu discourses, all of his efforts and critiques are nothing more than fluff. The ExBaba website is dividing Brian Steel's web site into separate links to give the perception that their website is much larger than it actually is.

Devotees' Expectations and SSB's Lingam Production
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/shortnews/devoteesexpectations.html
Comment: These comments, by Brian Steel, are justified. Some of his observations are once again taken from the English versions to Sathya Sai Baba's Telugu discourses. Brian Steel castes doubt on Sathya Sai Baba's "omniscience" by saying:
"SSB's reputation for omniscience or truth is not enhanced by the fact that in this 2001 Discourse he announced 6 p.m. as sacred for lingam production ("The time at 6 o'clock is highly sacred. At that time, the Atma Lingam will be manifested."), whereas only two years before, he had said that "I used to bring Atma Lingams from this body on the occasion of Sivarathri in the earlier years ... There is a specific time for this. It may take place at any moment between 8 and 10 in the night. It takes place at the right time irrespective of the place I am in. It is bound to take place. It is natural in this Sivarathri night." (These Mahasivaratri Discourses for 1999 and 2001 are available on www.eaisai.com/baba and on the new official Sai Baba website, www.srisathyasai.org.in.)"
However, by reading this paragraph, one can see that Sathya Sai Baba did not contradict himself. Sathya Sai Baba affirmed that the lingam "may" take place any time between 8pm-10pm. Sathya Sai Baba did not say that lingam manifestation will occur exclusively between 8pm-10pm. Sathya Sai Baba said that each lingam has a "specific time" for it's emergence. On that Shivaratri, the time happened to be 6pm.
Suicides (2009) in Andhra Pradesh; what about Baba's promised 'Golden Age' ?
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/shortnews/goldenage.html
Comment: Åsa Samsioe implied that Sathya Sai Baba is responsible for farmers killing themselves in Andhra Pradesh. This is absurd. On this page, one can compare suicide rates and see that, next to Muslim countries, Hindu countries rank the lowest in overall suicides. The highest rates being among Atheist, Buddhist and Christian countries. The numbers are, per 100,000:
- Atheist: 25.6
- Buddhist: 17.9
- Christian: 11.2
- Hindu: 9.6
It is significant to point out that India is the largest Hindu country in the world and is also a third-world country that suffers from devastating poverty. Despite this fact, India has a lower suicide rate than richer and more advanced Christian countries! Using Åsa Samsioe logic (illogic), I guess one can conclude that Jesus and Buddha are to blame for all of the Christian and Buddhist adherents who commit suicides. This is nonsense. Also, Åsa Samsioe forgot to mention that Sathya Sai Baba is aware of the plight of farmers in Andhra Pradesh and gifted 70 tractors to farmers for his 70th birthday celebrations.

Sai Baba's mixed-up stories of Balarama
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/balarama.html
Comment: Sanjay Dadlani researched this article so well, that he misquoted Sathya Sai Baba. Sanjay Dadlani quoted Sathya Sai Baba as saying:
"…Balarama and Krishna were born in Mathura."
However (despite providing a link to the actual discourse) Baba said:
"…Balarama and Krishna were both in Mathura."
It is "both", not "born". The word "born" could very well have been mistranslated. It is entirely probable that the correct word was "conceived". However, since Sanjay Dadlani does not know Telugu, he must draw his speculations from the English version. Also, the word "aborted" could have been mistranslated from "miscarried". If the word "born" was mistranslated from "conceived", that would resolve the issue of where Balaram was born. The only point of contention would be the Srimad Bhagavatam said that Adi Shakti transferred Balaram to Devaki's womb, instead of the "Lord" doing it, as said by Sathya Sai Baba. There is also another version in which it is said that Lord Vishnu arranged to have Balaram transferred to the womb of Rohini.
Sanjay Dadlani cited the Srimad Bhagavatam as a source for facts regarding the life and lila's of Krishna and Balaram. The Srimad Bhagavatam is the very same source that states that the Sun is closer to the Earth than the Moon and that we live in a geocentric Universe!
Supposedly, the Moon is 1,600,000 miles further into space than the Sun! Many Hare Krsna's have tried to reconcile the numbers describing the numbers in terms of "regions", however, no matter how you calculate it, the Sun simply cannot be closer to the Earth than the Moon! The Moon is approximately 218,000 miles from the Earth. Consequently, the "primary spiritual account" that Sanjay Dadlani cited, has major inaccuracies itself.
The Srimad Bhagavatam considers women inferior to men and states that thunder and lightning come from the god, Indra. There are also planets that have different types of oceans, one planet having an ocean of milk! Also, the demon "Rahu" is allegedly the cause of eclipses of both the Sun and Moon. Even Sanjay's Guru (Srila Prabhupada) said in his book, "Life Comes From Life":
"There are many invisible planets and stars. For example, when the Rahu planet passes before the sun and moon, there is an eclipse. But the scientists describe an eclipse differently. Actually, the Rahu planet causes an eclipse. There are many questionable points regarding the modern scientists' theory of the eclipse. Their explanation is incorrect according to Vedic information."

How naively deceitful can the Sai movement get?
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/deceitful.html
Comment: Robert Priddy scoured Pro-Sai forums to find something to criticize. As if Robert Priddy has not clogged up the internet with enough hateful and negative propaganda, he is now saying that "Lalita" reveled in the Sivaratri editing "cover up" and "boasted" about it as well. However, what I read was entirely different. I guess one's negative "projections" make one see things that are not there.
As anyone can read, "Lalita" expressed surprise at the editing of the Sivaratri video. She said she was "impressed" that the boys who edited the video, were able to edit out every single heart-wrenching video frame that showed Sathya Sai Baba's compromised physical state. "Lalita" seemed to express regret that only those who saw Sathya Sai Baba's compromised physical state will be the only ones who will remember such profound events. Despite Robert Priddy's quick and thoughtless judgment of "Lalita", one can see that she did not boast about a "cover up" at all. If she were, she would not have given the real details.
Robert Priddy raised a huge fuss about how information about Sathya Sai Baba is a "main package" that is filled with lies and crimes. Despite Robert Priddy's overemotional oversimplification, it simply can't be "packaged" when "Lalita" saw it firsthand for herself. "Lalita" relayed her first-hand account of what she saw. Despite "Lalita's" own personal account, Robert Priddy said that she is being fed a "main package" that he was fed as well. How contradictory is that?
Mark this article as yet another vitriolic and bitter attack by Robert Priddy. Robert Priddy also talked about V.K. Narasimhan (who was a Sathya Sai Baba devotee to his death) and attributed a bunch of rubbish to him. A majority of Robert Priddy's sources are either dead or nameless.
