Return To Hislop Letters Main Page

Three Large Files: 450kb Total: The clear discrepancies are as follows:

1) Compare the dates on both letters. On ExBaba.com's letter, the date reads as follows:
Jan. 18. 1981

On Alexandra Nagel's letter, the date reads as follows:
Jan. 18, 1981

2) Compare the "P.S." paragraphs located on the top of the letters. On ExBaba.com's letter, it reads:
As far as he is concerned, such stories did not exist with the college students

On Alexandra Nagel's letter, it reads:
As far as he is concerned, such stories did not exist with the college students.

3) On the fourth paragraph after the "P.S." paragraph, ExBaba.com's letter reads:
then the question arises as to what moves   many people to say these false stories.

On Alexandra Nagel's letter, it reads:
then the question arises as to what moves so many people to say these false stories.

The "so" is very dark on Alexandra Nagel's copy and there is no logical explanation as to how the word disappeared on ExBaba.com's letter, except an error while trying to duplicate it. Consequently, it is to be concluded that one (or both) of the letters was forged. These inconsistencies prove that someone took great efforts to duplicate the letter but made small, yet significant, errors that cast crucial doubts to the letter's authenticity.
