SATHYA SAI BABA NEWS (With Updates And Comments):

TRUTHS MIXED WITH UNTRUTHS  Brief Notes on a Recent Visit to India by Brian Steel
http://bdsteel.tripod.com/More/indvisit1.htm
Comment: Brian Steel cannot take a non-contradictory stand against Sathya Sai Baba. His writings are garrulous and lack any cohesive structure regarding viewpoints in whose favor he tries to further.

In this article, Brian Steel trumps his earlier status as being a desperate Anti-Sai Activist by attempting to use two nameless taxi drivers to somehow prove that Sathya Sai Baba is not Shirdi Sai Baba (because the taxi drivers said so). I guess if we took a consensus of taxi driver's (who are mostly uneducated) opinions, we could settle whether or not Sathya Sai Baba is really Shirdi Sai Baba! Brian Steel talked about Robert Priddy's new book entitled End of the Dream. The Sathya Sai Baba Enigma, published by Basava Premanand. Premanand is a tabloid critic who resorts to blatant deceit and lies. It is of little surprise that Robert Priddy has combined forces with Basava Premanand to spread his Anti-Sai propaganda. Click Here to read an example of Premanand's amusing and highly irrational claims.

TRUTHS MIXED WITH UNTRUTHS  Comment on an Article by Dr Madhavi Majmudar on Peace Education (SSEHV)
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/sergueimajmudar.html
Comment: Funny enough, Serguei Badaev has been trapped in a time warp and is critiquing articles that are several years old. In this article, Serguei is simply expressing his disagreements with an article by Dr. Madhavi Majmudar that was published in 2002 (almost 3 years ago). Since Anti-Sai Activists have nothing current to feed their frenzy, they are looking to the past to feed their negative obsession with Sathya Sai Baba. I will state again what I have said many times: No current article, dispersed by Anti-Sai Sites, furthers any of the allegations made against Sathya Sai Baba.

FALSE OR UNSUBSTANIATED  The Hislop letters & the Sai Org.'s cover-up on cover-up (2)
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/hislop/hislop2.html
Comment: Click Here to view my page about the questionability of the Hislop Letters and the proof that the letters were forged and tampered with.

FALSE OR UNSUBSTANIATED  The John Hislop letters again
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/sergueimajmudar.html
Comment: Click Here to view my page about the questionability of the Hislop Letters and the proof that the letters were forged and tampered with. This article provided Alexandra Nagel's second copy to the first of Hislop's alleged letters. This copy conclusively proves that someone forged/tampered with one of the alleged letters (or both).

TRUTHS MIXED WITH UNTRUTHS  Cherished SSB Myth Further Discredited by SSSO Evidence
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/sergueimajmudar.html
Comment: Brian Steel, a self-professed Anti-Sai Activist who recently went to India and took time to visit Sathya Sai Baba's Ashram at Whitefield and even visited the Sathya Sai Ashram in Dharmakshetra, Mumbai in February 2005! This once again proves that Brian Steel is clinically obsessed with Sathya Sai Baba and actively searches for information to feed his Anti-Sai frenzy.

On Steel's visit to India, he allegedly "discovered" the book, Chaitanya Jyoti. Experiencing the Divine. The Millennium Museum Depicting the Message and Mission of Sri Sathya Sai Avatar. In this book, there is mention to what are known as the Mehdi Moud Prophecies, in which it is said that the Prophet Muhammad prophesied the advent of Mehdi (Mehdi-Al-Ma'ood or the Promised One or Messiah). Brian Steel said he "commissioned a professional translation of the Persian text" (notice the obsessiveness?) and discovered that Persian quotes bear no resemblance to the translations given in English at the Museum exhibit.

I agree with the basic premise of this article, i.e., that the Medhi Moud Prophecies do not pertain to Sathya Sai Baba (as they are currently understood only in Islamic terms) and are not translated correctly in the Chaitanya Jyoti book. Having said this, the list that Brian Steel provides is not a complete list of the Medhi Moud Prophecies. Click Here to view a complete list of characteristics attributed to Medhi. Apparently, there are various ways to interpret the text, which accounts for the variant interpretations given at the Museum.

TRUE OR MOSTLY TRUE  Harry Houdini swallowed and regurgitated solid ivory balls etc.
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/sergueimajmudar.html
Comment: The comments about Harry Houdini are correct.

FLUFF  Counter-Evidence to the Sathya Sai Baba Divinity Myth and Related Topics
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/sergueimajmudar.html
Comment: Brian Steel ranting (as is his wont) and providing a very long list of books and articles from the SaiGuru and ExBaba websites. This page is another propaganda article that has very little (if any) real content.

FALSE OR UNSUBSTANIATED  The Hislop letters & the Sai Org.'s cover-up on cover-up (3)

TRUTHS MIXED WITH UNTRUTHS  How I realised the Sai movement is truly a cult
http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex_baba/engels/articles/sergueimajmudar.html
Comment: This is David (Dave) Lyons again talking about his realization about the Sai Movement being, in his opinion, a "cult". Last month, David Lyons talked about the same thing. David Lyons has been talking about this for years. Apparently Dave has nothing better to do than repeat himself like a trained parrot.
