For many years after this article was written, not even one court case has been filed against Sathya Sai Baba and he has never been charged with any crime, sexual or otherwise. Despite the claim of "internationally renown investigators", no one has been able to produce even one single affidavit. Obviously, the evidence is severely lacking. Not only that, but Barry Pittard failed to divulge the names to these alleged investigators. This is a typical ploy by Barry Pittard where he likes to make reference to all sorts of high-ranking officials and organizations but refuses to disclose names and contact details.

Comment: Brian Steel tried to argue that since Sathya Sai Baba is not referring to himself as an Avatar as much as he used to, that he is somehow "downgrading" himself. Sathya Sai Baba has never "downgraded" himself. To this day, Baba claims that he is an Avatar (an incarnation of God) but tells his devotees that it is not important for them to believe that he is God, so much as it is important to realize one's inherent divinity.

Comment: Robert Priddy talked about a conversation he allegedly observed between Mr. Chiranjia Rao and Sathya Sai Baba. Because Sathya Sai Baba appeared to be intensely talking to Mr. C. Rao (who in turn, responded with a similar intensity) Robert Priddy was all of a sudden thrown into an emotional tailspin, wondering why Sathya Sai Baba was not friendly all the time!
The Chinese man from Singapore, that Robert Priddy talked about in this article, claimed that there was a murder that occurred right in front of the accommodation office at Prashanti Nilayam. Of course, this story is well known and no one was murdered in front of the accommodation office. A man bit off another man's toe in front of the accommodation office and he died from sepsis several days later. I know the Chinese man in question and he was thrown out of the ashram for inappropriate behavior with women. He now resides behind the Library, which is behind the Canteen.

As a matter of fact, it is very difficult to find any "guru" prior to Sathya Sai Baba who wore an orange gown and materialized items with his hand until after Sathya Sai Baba started doing these things. Another excerpt made an unsubstantiated claim that Sathya Sai Baba was taken to court over a dispute that happened in 1973. The case was allegedly withdrawn. No one can provide even one shred of paperwork or documentation to back up this claim. It is true that Sathya Sai Baba has not allowed himself to be subjected to scientific testing.
