On Saturday I leave for India to meet with Sai Baba
and others to plead for a global governance structure
(expanded U.N.?) to pre-empt the machinations of rogue
powers such as Iraq, the U.S., Israel and terrorist
organizations on questions of peace, environmental
sustainability and justice. These rogues are blocking
orderly progress on clean and renewable energy, for
example.

...arriving on Monday 27 January, my 63rd
birthday, at Chennai airport on Air India # 431 from
Singapore at 15:30. I would have a little time for a
press conference upon arrival; then we would join
colleagues from the Sivananda Yoga Centre of Bombay
for some rest, prior to departure to Trivandrum to the
Sivananda ashram there, where I will be teaching yoga
and consciousness science for several days.

Later I plan to visit Tewari, whom I believe has a
concept which could solve the worldwide energy crisis,
and together we plan to have Darshan with Sai Baba.

Let me explain the purpose of my trip, beyond what was
in the Hindustan Times, and this might arouse some
attention with the press. It is very specific...

I am calling for a global governance structure which
would overshadow the polarizing forces now creating
such danger in the world. I revoke the policies of
the U.S. as well as those of Iraq and the terrorists;
I revoke the intentions for war between India and
Pakistan.

In place of the ridiculous power plays between
nations, I am going to suggest an overarching global
democracy which would have jurisdiction over questions
of peace (no more war), environmental sustainability
(end the fossil fuel age and convert to clean new
energy technologies such as Tewari's), and justice
(the rogues who now polarize the world with force or
the threat of force must be stripped of their power
and be given "golden parachutes" such as exile). This
could be done either by an expanded U.N. or a new
global republic/democracy.

All these principles are embodied in my new book:
Re-Inheriting the Earth: Awakening to Sustainable
Solutions and Greater Truths. I will be bringing with
me several copies, some for the press.

I will also come prepared with a brief statement/press
release.

US astronaut to spread Sai Baba's message for global peace

Press Trust of India -- Hyderabad, January 19, 2003

A former US astronaut has embarked on a mission to bring about world peace
by spreading the message of India's holy man Satya Sai Baba whom the
New York Times called "a friend in India to all the world".

Brain O'Leary, a physicist and former science and energy policy advisor to
four
US presidential candidates, is arriving in India on Friday to meet with Sai
Baba
to get his advice on how to bring about peace, according to sources close to
the astronaut.

O'Leary will also meet "free energy technology" scientist, Paramahamsa
Tewari
of Karwar, former head of the Kaiga atomic station, whose theory of
extracting
energy from space has found followers abroad, the sources said.

Describing Baba as "the greatest example of inter-faith spiritual unity
since
Buddha," the sources said that by spreading his "message of truth, peace,
love,
righteousness, and nonviolence" the US astronaut hopes that global peace
will "break out in mere days from across the US, India, Pakistan, to Iraq."
