MAJOR UPDATE - AUG 4TH 2007:

After several years of silence, Hari Sampath (using his known Yahoo name of “delta_108”) came out of hiding on August 2nd 2007 and I was able to directly question him about the alleged “affidavit” claims, which originated from him (Reference). Although Hari Sampath expressed a willingness to answer my questions in “half an hour” (Reference), he instead chose to flee the group and went back into hiding. It is important to note that all of these “affidavit” claims against Sathya Sai Baba originated with Hari Sampath and were later passed to Ojvind Kyro, Robert Priddy, et al. Despite this fact, Mr. Sampath could not answer basic questions about the alleged affidavits he worked so hard to obtain and chose instead to hide rather than give answers. These are the types of deceivers that have misled so many people about Sai Baba and the Sai Controversy. When faced with simple and basic questions, Hari Sampath ran away.

“An affidavit is simply a written statement sworn to before an officer authorized to administer an oath. A person ‘makes’ an affidavit by going before a notary or other officer and swearing to the contents of a written document. A notary ‘takes’ an affidavit by administering the oath and completing the certificate.”

Despite all these rampant and unsubstaniated rumors of “affidavits” against Sathya Sai Baba, he has never been charged with any crime, sexual or otherwise. Period. Robert Priddy claimed that various affidavits were published on the internet. I have yet to see even one affidavit that has been published on the internet. Alleged testimonies from alleged victims who did not have their stories sworn before a notary or officer do not qualify as “affidavits”.

Furthermore, Alaya Rahm (an alleged sexual abuse victim) filed a lawsuit against the Sathya Sai Baba Society and not even one affidavit was submitted to the court on his behalf. No alleged victims came forward to support Alaya Rahm in his court case and no witnesses were identified to the court on his behalf. See:

Formal Open Challenge To Anti-Sai Activists And Anti-Sai Websites:

I openly challenge any Anti-Sai Activist to send me or publish any sworn affidavit against Sathya Sai Baba. I openly challenge Robert Priddy to provide the affidavit details he claimed have already been published on the internet. It is my contention that legitimate and legal affidavits do not exist against Sai Baba. If they do exist, the following information should be provided:

• Full Name of the Affiant (Person Making the Claim).
• The Sworn Affidavit Document Text.
• Name of the Notary/Officer To Whom The Sworn Affidavit Was Made.
• Notary Contact Information.

If this information is considered “confidential”, I will accept an independent verification by a reputable media agency (not affiliated with Anti-Sai Activists). To date, no affidavit details have been published nor have any reputable media agencies independently confirmed that any affidavits exist.

Comments: A very nasty Sai character who is in total denial called Joe Moreno wants people to submit sex abuse affidavits to HIM, of all people! Those handling the affidavits will never break their promises to keep full confidentiality given to those who deposited them. They will only be for public view when laid before a court of law to prosecute Sai Baba or members of his organisation. People who stop at nothing to harm those who have suffered more than enough already will not obtain them but must wait and see.”

My Response: If anyone feels that I am not the proper person to create an open affidavit page, Anti-Sai Activists should create their own affidavit page that provides the same information I ask for on this page. This will provide the general public with this crucial information that will prove that sworn affidavits were made. It was claimed by many Ex-Devotees that these alleged affidavits were already made public. As a matter of fact, Robert Priddy (who appears to be “Compassionate Protector”) said that various affidavits were published on the internet. Where are they? The fact of the matter remains: Anyone who alleges sexual impropriety against Sathya Sai Baba openly and on the internet, has already made that disclosure public. If an alleged victim made an affidavit, he should willingly supply it. Sathya Sai Baba is publicly judged, tried and convicted without any supporting documentation. People talk of the accusers “rights”, yet the one accused apparently has no rights! Also Robert Priddy called people who do not have the conscience or integrity to use their real name, “cowardly creatures”. It's time for “Compassionate Protector” to use his/her real name and stop hiding behind fake names.

Affidavits - Affiants Update: April 1st, 2005:

The following email was submitted to me by Andries Krugers Dagneaux:

I emailed both Andries and Øjvind Kyrø about these unsubstantiated claims. Andries made the above submission on March 27th, 2005 and complained in a Yahoo Group that I “refused” to accept this submission because I did not publish it on my site within 1 day of him emailing me (I emailed him the same day, 3 hours later). This sadly points to the sheer desperation that Andries must resort to when he does not get his way.

Andries obviously cannot understand that since his bogus affidavit submission fulfills none of the criteria mentioned for affidavit submissions, it cannot be counted as a genuine submission. Andries thinks that his submission is genuine and legitimate despite the fact that he could not cite even one verifiable name.

It also appears that Robert Priddy never viewed the alleged affidavits for himself (as he originally claimed there were 20 affidavits - an unsubstantiated claim made by Hari Sampath). Ojvind Kyro stated he is allegedly in possession of only ten affidavits, not twenty! Half of the alleged affidavits mysteriously disappeared! Also, Øjvind Kyrø claimed that Hari Sampath “represented the aggrieved parties”. First of all, Hari Sampath is not a lawyer nor does he possess any credentials as one. Hari Sampath was allegedly a software engineer. It is also amusing to note that Hari Sampath “represented the aggrieved parties” by writing an extremely verbose letter from Chicago, USA to an unnamed “Director” at the Central Bureau of Investigations in New Delhi. Hari Sampath did not take the alleged affidavits to a court of law in India. He mailed them to the CBI and actually expected them to initiate proceedings with the alleged witnesses being half way around the world. As if this is not embarrassing enough, Hari Sampath asked the unnamed CBI Director to send him an “official acknowledgement” that he/she received his complaint. Hari Sampath has never provided anyone with any proof that he received an “official acknowledgement” from the CBI in New Delhi. Does this sound like “representing the aggrieved parties” to you? Click Here to view Hari Sampath’s alleged letter to the CBI in India. Click Here to view Hari Sampath’s claim (again) that he gave Ojvind Kyro 20 affidavits. Ojvind Kyro said he only has 10 affidavits. This means that half of the alleged legal documents disappeared, were lost, never existed or perhaps were proven to be falsified.

Click Here (then click ‘Contact Us’) and view what the CBI had to say about their procedure in filing complaints with them. They said:

“The CBI welcomes information relating to corruption in Central Government departments and Central Public Sector Undertakings. The Website can be used to pass on the information. The identity of the informant will be kept secret. Every State in India has at least one CBI office headed by a Superintendent of Police, where a signed complaint can be lodged. The complaint can be sent by post, fax or in person. As a matter of policy the CBI does not entertain anonymous / pseudonymous complaints.

The CBI does not take up investigation of conventional crimes like murder, theft, robbery etc unless directed by the Supreme Court / High Courts or referred by State Governments. This is because ‘police’ is a State subject under the Indian Constitution and the basic jurisdiction to investigate crimes is that of State police. The CBI’s power to investigate cases is derived from the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act. The CBI can investigate the offences notified under this Act in the Union Territories and with the consent of State Governments, in the States. Besides, since the CBI is a small force, administratively also it has not been considered expedient for the CBI to investigate the conventional crimes unless directed by the Supreme Court/High Courts or referred by State Governments.”

Consequently, Hari Sampath’s letter to the CBI was totally useless because he did not follow proper procedure in filing the case (and how do you do that via mail?) with the Supreme Court or a High Court in India.
