Information About The Atala Chakra

In our perception, everything possesses a yin yang of opposites (i.e., Light & Dark, South Pole & North Pole, Spiritual & Material, Superior & Inferior, High & Low, Positive & Negative, Soft & Hard, Heaven & Hell, Hot & Cold, Love & Hate, Feminine & Masculine, Attractive & Repulsive, etc.). A Loka is a luminous, spiritual sphere comparable to Yang. A Tala is a shadow, material sphere comparable to Yin. A Loka and a Tala are two seamless aspects to a specific state of consciousness.

Atala’s corresponding loka is Satyaloka.

(Theosophy Definition) Atala: Bottomless, no place, no material locality; the first and most spiritual of the seven talas, so nearly one with satyaloka, its corresponding loka or pole, that the two nearly conjoin into one -- hence it is called “no place” Atala bears somewhat the same relation to satyaloka that prakriti bears to Brahma; hence it is the first quasi-spiritual, quasi-material plane in the solar universe. “In satyaloka-atala, the highest loka combines into or rejoins the monadic essence of the planetary chain. The differentiation so marked on the lower planes ceases here and, because of this, the two blend into or become one.” Cosmically atala emanates directly from the solar logos and contains with satyaloka the substantial seeds of all that was, is, and will be, from the beginning to the end of the solar mahamanvantara. Atala, with satyaloka, may be considered from one standpoint the sphere of the hierarchies of the dhyanis, who are, when completely in this condition, in a state of parasamadhi, and hence clothed in the dharmakaya.

Plane Of Atala: Put

Description Of Atala In The Mahapuranam Srimad Devi Bhagavatam:
In the first beautiful region Atala, the exceedingly haughty son of the Danava Maya, named Bala, is living. He has created the ninety-six Mayas. All the requisites of the inhabitants are obtained by them. The other Mayavis know one or two of these. None of them are capable to know all, as they are exceedingly difficult to be carried out. When this powerful Bala yawned, the three classes of women were produced, fascinating to all the Lokas. They were named Pums’chali (or unchaste woman) Svairini, (an adultress) and Kamini (a lovely women). When any man, beautiful and lovely to them, enters into their Atala region, they, with the help of the Hataka sentiment (of love), generate in him, while in solitude, the power to enjoy (copulate) and with their sweet smiles and amorous lovely looks and with great caution embrace him thoroughly and begin to converse with him and with amorous gestures and postures, and thus please him well. When the people enjoy this Hatakarasa, they think often and often, that they themselves have become gods, they have become Siddhas and powerful like Ayuta elephants; being blind with vanity and finding them endowed with powers and prosperity, they think themselves so repeatedly and constantly. O Narada! Thus the position in Atala has been described.
